Some Great Gifts for any Mother

Baby Spa Gift for MothersBeing a mother can be both the best job and the hardest job at any given time. While the joys of motherhood can often be their own reward, it is always nice to show how much we appreciate the job mothers are doing by getting them a little something special, so that is what we are going to look at today... some great gift ideas for any mother. Being a mother starts long before a child is even born. For a long nine months, they carry us, nurture us, and change their whole life around just to make sure they are giving us the best start in life, so let's start by looking at something that would work as a great baby shower gift for the expecting mother.

My sister just recently had her first child, and for her baby shower I gave her a baby spa, and she has just loved it!. I love visiting her house and watching her little man, Wyatt, relaxing in his baby spa, so I decided our first gift for mothers should be the Summer Infant Soothing Spa & Shower Baby Bath. This is a battery operated spa unit, with a deluxe padded swing so any new born will enjoy bath time. Not all babies are so enthusiastic about getting their baths, but this relaxing whirlpool bath will change all that, making this not only a perfect gift for any new born, but also the perfect gift for the mother as well. You just can't go wrong with the baby spa.

Baby Scrap Book Gift for MothersAnother great gift for expecting, or new mothers is a baby scrap book.
The Celine Baby Baby Memory Book is a great present because it gives new mothers a way to save all those precious memories from the first years of a baby's life. The time goes by so fast, that before you know it, our children are all grown up and moved away, and having a scrap book of those early years is a great reminder of those special moments. This book has 60 decorated pages with a built in photo album. One reason I believe this is a perfect gift for mothers is that it will last them a lifetime. Few gifts have the ability, and this will be something that is cherished for many, many years. A great gift idea.

Cashmere Rob Gift for MomsAs the kids get a bit older, and start spending their days in school, its time for her to get to spend a little time on herself. Raising young children is a full time job, so some mothers do not get enough pampering of their own during these years. Now is the time for her to do some things for herself. For spending the mornings in the house, after all the kids are off to school, nothing is better than a nice comfortable cashmere robe. The Robe in Lightweight Cashmere is perfect for lounging around the house after a busy morning getting everyone ready for school. It's not an easy job, so this 100% cashmere robe is the perfect gift for mothers of any age.

Necklace Gift For MothersAt some point in our lives, it is obvious that it is time to move away from the safety of home, and out on our own. Our mothers raise us to be prepared for life, and it is nice to show them we realize, and appreciate everything they have done to get us to that point. A great gift you can get your mother as you leave the nest is a Love Always Heart-Shaped Diamond Pendant Necklace. After spending most of their lives raising their children, it can be a tough time for mothers when their little owns grow up and move away, so make sure you leave something for her to think of you by. Every time she wears this necklace she will think of you, and it will bring fond memories to think about, and for that, this is another perfect gift for mothers.

Photo bracelt gift for grandmothersJust because your kids are grown up and moved away, that does not mean a mothers job is done. Soon, there will be grandchildren, and the joy of raising kids becomes back. Everyone loves their grandmothers, so let's be sure we find the perfect gift for grandmothers. I like the idea of a photo bracelet. Grandmothers are so proud of their grandchildren, and just love to show them off, so why not give her a Photo Bracelet With Heart Pattern. This beautiful bracelet will hold up to 6 pictures, so its a perfect gift for grandmothers who just love to show off their little ones!

So there you have it... a few great gift ideas for the truly special woman in your life. What are some gift ideas that you have, and would like to share?

If anybody gave me rubber gloves for mother's day, no matter how fancy, I think I would have to smack them. What a horrible idea.

Dealio has a ton of great gift ideas for Mom. They have a Mother’s Day Blog, but they also keep readers informed of super deals from major retail stores. They have the latest coupon codes, promos and more. It has saved a ton of time for me.

If I got a baby bath for mother's day I would be offended. Give me a day at the spa. That is what every Mom deserves after being a Mom every day.

I think you misunderstood that. The Baby Spa is for the mother-to-be. Not a mom who has been raising a child for a year. I am a mom-to-be in November..Yeahh! And Tho I would not want my husband to get me that for mothers day, I think that would be a great gift from my cousin or best friend that is just trying to be nice and do something they didnt really need to in the first place.

The soothing spa is a piece of junk! I definatly do not reccomend for anyone! It seems like a great idea but its just a waste of money we used the spa part once! Also the tub is so big and clunky! DO NOT BUY!

Dear Michael Fowlkes, if by chance you are married with children, do yourself a favor and take some advice-

send your secretary to pick a gift.

As a mother of four, if someone gave me a baby bath tub for Mother's Day, I would be hard pressed not to shoot them. A baby-book? How about a few books for MOM instead?
Let me sleep in. Take me for an adult-friendly lunch. Give my babies a bath and let me go to bed early. But do *not* give me childcare items, cleaning items, or anything else related to cleaning/ caring for others etc.
In case you hadn't noticed, it's "Mother's" Day- NOT 'domestic employee day'.

Oh, and you might want to stick to suggesting gifts for men, because these were some shockingly awful suggestions!

I so agree with the ladies that say they would scream if they received a baby spa for mothers day. Its like geting pots and asked what is for diner. This day is to make all Moms and Grandmas special. Treat your Mother to something special. If you live far away dont forget to call her (a card is nice but call also). If you live close how about brunch or stop by unexpected.

I agree! Save the baby items for a BABY SHOWER not MOTHER'S DAY. It's a day to "pamper" mom and let mom "splurge" on her special day..It's a day to show appreciation for all mom does you and/or has done for you..it's NOT suppose to remind her of all her daily chores! haha...

I want a day at the spa. My son doesn't need it. He's happy with a bubble bath. Heck, I'd be happy with a bubble bath but I don't have time for it. Here's a great gift, dad take the kids for a couple hours so I can rest. Working full time and having kids is enough to get anybody exhausted.

As a new mom to a five month old son, I found Christmas and my birthday awfully disapointing. At the risk of sounding selfish, all the gifts I received were baby-related. Baby toys, baby clothes, and the worst- enough stuffed animals for a good sized bonfire in the backyard. Rest assured I provide my child with everything he needs, so you need not feel guilty by tossing something I can us my self this way. Oh- And a cashmere robe? I hope it's still fashionable when it reeks of formula and is dotted with mashed veggies.

I'll tell everyone the P-E-R-F-E-C-T gift for moms, new AND old. A day without the damned kids. My husband gets me that EVERY year. Best gift I could ever receive. MEN: take your kids to the park, take them to the Chucky Cheese....but take them. You'll get laid later.

My dream Mothers Day gift would be a certificate to have a manicure & a pedicure, then to have a nice long massage on my tired body. Then come home to a nice dinner that someone else cooked.
Don't give me a crock pot,or fry pan or dishes.I buy my own soap & shampoo ,so no gift baskets.Mothers' Day is our day.Give us something for us ,not the family.......

As all of you ladies have stated, this guy is clueless..... I have bought my wife a new outfit to wear when my son and I take her out to dinner and a movie, of her choice..... After 29 years of marriage, like a new mother, she still deserves pampering.

How about breakfast in bed, followed by a bubble bath, then a trip to the spa for what ever you want, lunch with your girl friends, while the hubby and kid (if old enough) clean the house top to bottom, then put a meal that (SHE) loves on to cook, (for me it would be a pot roast), and take the kids to the park (or where ever you want), time it so dinner is on the table when she walks in the door, AND you clean up after. Give the kids a bath put them to bed. I bet your so tired at the end of your day with the kids cooking and cleanning you will just want to go to bed and SLEEP, but hold off do what ever your wife wants for as long as she wants.......
