Crocs, Get'em Before They're Gone

Brandi Smith - AOL Shopping

The shoes we've grown to love... and love to hate may be walking out of our lives soon. Despite their efforts to diversify their line with fresh new styles, which now includes boots, wedges and flats, Crocs recently announced that they too have succumbed to the strains of the economy and have until September to pay off millions of dollars of debt. I must admit, in spite of my love-hate relationship with Crocs-- am wishing them the best of luck to turn this around. 100 million consumers (myself included) will be sad to see them go. Let's take a walk down Croc memory lane and explore the vast assortment they have to offer.

I love Crocks but I have very skinny feet, do they make them in narrow sizes or am I out of luck?

    Thank You!

The Cayman's are narrower than the Beach style.

I love Crocs, they're all I wear and I no longer suffer from the foot pain that I used to have. I will continue to buy them and replace them as needed. I hope they are around for years to come!

CROCS IS A CROC OF SH-T FOOTWEAR! THESE ARE THE WORSE LOOKING, THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE AND DANGEROUS TO WEAR ATTIRE. ANY PODIATRIST WILL TELL YOU THAT THESE CROCWEAR ARE THE WORSE OF THE WORSE FOR YOUR FEET. ALL I CAN SAY IS CROC-ANORA. THE ONLY REDEEMING VALUE THE COMPANY OFFERED WAS THE GIVEN AWAY OF THESE CROCWEAR TO NEEDY CHILDREN A WHILE BACK.

I don't understand why your podiatrist would say that. My husband has foot issues, and his podiatrist not only recommends Crocs, but he sells them in his office. My husband wears them all the time. They work better than the prescription orthotic which cost him $800.00. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and these are the only shoes that help me be on my feet without pain. Also, many people who work on their feet all day swear by them. I personally don't care as much about looks as I do about alleviating my pain. But if I did, they have some really great styles that don't even look like they're made by Crocs. Crocs is an awesome shoe.
I really hate to see them go.

I don't know what Podiatrist has told you that Crocs are "the worst of the worse" because my Podiatrist has many of his patients wear Crocs. Crocs help my foot more than almost any other shoe I have ever worn and that says a lot. My foot hurts the majority of the time, and when wearing other shoes to go grocery shopping by the time I get home my feet are swollen and are very painful. When shopping in my Crocs, while my feet still hurt at the end of the excursion, they do not hurt anywhere NEAR as much as they do when wearing other shoes.

While Crocs may not be the trendiest, cutest, most attractive shoes on the market, they are very helpful for people like me who have foot issues. I will take comfort over style almost any day of the week and my kids adore Crocs, that's all either of them want to wear.

Your podiatrist must be a crock because mine, as well as an orthopedic surgeon, highly recommended them. I bought several pairs and I love them. They have helped my feet problems and I no longer have any pain. Please do not go out of business!

I do not know what your smoking, but you need to lay off of it. I also had my doctor strongly suggest crocs, I have extremely flat feet and had problems for years with my other shoes. Now that I'm wearing crocs the pain has gone completely away. Just joking about the smoking issue, but seriously you should consider trying a pair.

Actually they are great for your feet and very comfortable. I have been told by my Doctor and I was surprised when I went to visit my mom she was told the same thing by hers and was wearing them. I think you need to find a new doctor. I also read an article lately that will tell you they are really great for your feet.

In order to be taken seriously, you should consider doing a quick check for mistakes in spelling and grammar before submitting anything like this. Other readers might actually listen to what you have to say and think about it rather than giving you so many angry responses. You look like an idiot right now. I don't know a thing about Crocs. Quite frankly, I don't care. Just reading your little rant was enough to send me over the edge, but not about the shoes. You clearly don't care about how you look in front of millions of people, so why should anyone care about your opinion, which is, according to several other people, an ignorant one?

I will CRY if they go away!!! I had a neuroma in my foot last year and they were the only shoes I could wear....then this year I'm going to have to have both hips replaced due to arthritis and absolutely can only wear them....I would buy a lifetime supply if I could get them and still had the money that i had to give out of pocket because illegals have ruined my health care coverage and Aetna is my carrier. OH NO!!

I love the Croc Store at 270 Columbus Avenue in the posh Upper WestSide of NYC. But they are all boys and kids sizes.

This is sad, as we here in Florida love the Croc's. You see them everywhere including Church to beach. I recentally bought a pair of of sandles wedges and find them to be my shoe of choice. My daughters each now have a pair. My hairdresser says she can work 8 hours in them and not have her legs ache. Hopefully we won't see them disappear. Of course on the bottem it says "made in China".
