5 Questions with Jewel

Jewel Jewel is a three-time Grammy nominee, and has sold twenty-seven million albums worldwide. She was recently on national tour, promoting her first-ever independent CD release, Lullaby. Jewel is currently writing for her next country music album, the follow-up effort to her successful launch into the format with the #1 Billboard-charting CD Perfectly Clear.

In addition, she also continues her philanthropic outreach with Project Clean Water, a foundation she launched in 1997. To date, the charity has helped over 30 communities overcome their individual drinking water problems in 13 different countries on 5 different continents.

AOL Shopping sat down with Jewel to find out her latest music downloads, make-up essentials and more.

What style staples live in your closet or suitcase?

I don't leave home with out one of my Calypso scarves. It adds a great look and splash of color, and also gives a bit of cozy warmth to help cut down on the drafts you run across on planes or movie theaters. Right now I'm wearing a deep purple one.

What is in your make-up bag right now?

YSL mascara, MAC cream blush in Brit Wit, contouring creme (MAC Cream Colour) in midtone sepia (Note: midtone sepia only available to pros), and Stay-put liquid eyeliner by Kiss Me. Also Armani foundation in 4 and 8 (I blend to make whatever shade I need as my tan comes and goes depending on travel and time of year)

What is the perfect travel outfit?

Sandals, for easy removal at security, leggings by Milk with footies that you can roll up or pull over your feet, and an oversized Hero Crane T-shirt. I love the 2 I have, they are stylish but very relaxed
