Chain-Embellished Dresses

Putting a little sparkle in your night-out attire can mean anything from wearing sparkly Louboutins to bright cocktail rings - or you can skip the additional step and throw on an embellished dress to make life easier. Adorned with everything from chains to sequins, these dresses boast the kind of decor that would rival your most glam necklaces. Try one of these on for size:

Though you'll need to cover up if you plan to wear this in the winter, you can show off all you want once you step inside - and there's plenty to show on Nanette Lepore's Vanity Dress (top left, $159). Made with soft merino wall, it's embellished with silk ruffles, chains and beads fashioned into adorable rosettes.

Try this Alice + Olivia Hanging Chain and Stone Dress ($350) with leggings or tights for a fun, party-ready look that requires little effort - or try it as a dressy top with skinny jeans and heels.

A jersey style, like this Robert Rodriguez Rib Dress with Necklace ($341), offers a more practical, relaxed take on the look. The raisin colored material is ruched and draped at the waist, with a balloon hem adding visual intrigue. It's finished with layers of ribbons, satin and chains.

If clean and simple is more your speed, this Calvin Klein Matte Jersey Chain Dress ($109) is the right choice - both in style and price. The easy shift style is accented by layers of gold chains for a softly elegant look.

This Rebecca Taylor Chained Dress ($390) brings plenty of drama with its rich purple hue, fluttery sleeves and a heavily embellished chain-and-sequin bib around the neckline. Count on turning some heads!

This edgy Young Fabulous & Broke One Shoulder Dress ($132) takes a different approach to the traditional manner of embellishment, displaying a detachable flower pin at the shoulder that boasts cascading beads and tangled chains.

These designers have produced the most ugly clothes ever. Please do they not remember how real women look and how they want to look, like ladies, not trash? They should all look at the old movies and they will see what it means to look like a lady, and the men could do so too... The clothes were meant to dress a person not to invent them.... Got it.

Monica, I agree with you 100%!!! They should try to make clothes for real people
not the things they are trying to make people believe are what we should be wearing!!! They need to go to another planet. Maybe they would make a great showing there. I doubt it; but who knows... Anyway, Designers, come up with something decent for people... Not the things you have nightmares about!!!

Ladies of course these trendy dress or not for older women but travel abroad to clubs in Europe for the young jetsetters these are right on. You guy should travel and see what is worn in other countries and these are for young people going out to the club, and of course the off the shoulder dress can always be worn with a covering over the shoulder or a short jacket with any of them do you ladies even watch fashion. These are not the red carpet dresses but beach party at night or day fun dresses to wear in Miami. Get with the program, and I am a older women but I do watch the runway models and designers Tyra Banks and all the Fashionista.

What is the deal with that last one? Looks nothing more like she just got out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her; wet head and all. I don't see it. I really don't see it at all. Certainly not what I would spend my money on.

Stick to the the classics, you can't go wrong. When the trend is over what are you going to do then... Buy more trendy clothes and not wear them because they are no instyle anymore!?
