Finally a Sonicare for your kids! Philips Sonicare, makers of uber popular electric toothbrushes, recently introduced a
Kids Sonicare! It uses the same cool sonic technology that Sonicare is famous for, but it is designed specifically for the little ones. It helps to encourage healthy brushing habits and delivers outstanding results- even when they are brushing on their own.
Santa gifted my 6 year old daughter with a
Kids Sonicare and her pearly whites have never been healthier and shinier. There are different power levels (one for older kids and one for younger kids), as well as two different sized brush heads. The bristles are designed for small mouths and there is an ergonomic handle that makes it easier for kids to hold the toothbrush and brush properly themselves.
My daughter's favorite function is the KidTimer and KidPacer which helps kids learn to brush their teeth for the recommended full two minutes. Our dentist has advised that parents should brush kids teeth first to ensure it is done correctly, once we do it, we let Marlee brush again on her own. Even before she got a
Kids Sonicare she was big into dental hygiene, perhaps because she wants to be a dentist, but since receiving her
Kids Sonicare she has been even more enthusiastic.
Thanks to great brushing, my daughter is cavity free and has also had 4 recent visits from the tooth fairy and at about $10 per tooth, it is important to keep them as healthy as possible!!
The
Kids Sonicare, is a little pricey, it retails around $69.99. We opted for a less expensive power toothbrush for our younger daughter who is three and she is equally happy and and excited about brushing. Check out:
Crayola Power Toothbrush (retails for under about $5)
