Just Released! Lane Bryant Swimwear

Now that the mercury's rising, it's time to begin facing the dread of bathing suit season. Or, does it really have to be so dreadful? Sure, it can be a real pain to find a flattering, cute or sexy bathing suit if you aren't built like a Victoria Secret model, but more and more swimwear options are becoming available for hard-to-find sized women (see further down) and especially for the curvier ladies who want to strut their stuff on the sandy beaches of the world. We already saw the release of Spanx Slimming Swimsuits just last month, and this month, Lane Bryant is releasing its private label breakthrough collection of swimwear. Prices for the suits range from $44.50 (separate bottoms) to $152 (the one-piece Miraclesuit).
The fresh, new swimwear collection features an array of mix and match tops and bottoms that will allow every woman to create the look that she feels most flatters her figure. Bottom styles to choose from include: hipster, boyshort, and skirts (slit skirt, contrast waistband skirt, and the ruffle skirt)--and these sizes range from 14 to 28. My favorite swim bottoms style is definitely the solid color hipster because they're so versatile and flattering! You can pair these Black Hipster Swim Bottoms ($44.50) with almost any swim top to complete your look. Boyshorts seem to be all the rage these days, with their amazing cut that has the ability to flatter any caboose! Lane Bryant's version is the Boyshort Swim Bottom ($44.50) in Citrus Green. Known for being flirtatious on land? Why not take it to the water with this Ruffle Swim Skirt ($49.50)?

Lane Bryant also offers tops and one-piece Miraclesuits in a variety of styles, colors, patterns, and support. You can also go for a sassy swim dress if it fits your mood! Central to the collection is the best-selling balconette and plunge bra frames combined with a flattering halter neckline. The pictured Algiers Blue Balconette Swim Top ($59.50) is as sweet as it is supportive. If you're more wild in nature, the Zebra Print Plunge Keyhole Swim Suit ($99.50) will tame even your most dangerous curves. Elegant and simple, you can't go wrong with the classic, flattering draping of this Miraclesuit Oceanus Solid Swimsuit ($102). This collection is the first of its kind to offer Lane Bryant's most popular Cacique bra frame. You can bet on these suits giving you shapely and stylish support; and though head-turns aren't guaranteed, don't be alarmed if you get more than a few of those, as well! For those of you who would prefer a more natural feel, non-underwire options are also available. If you've got your eyes locked on a particular tankini top, keep in mind that this style incorporates bra sizes between 38C and 48DD.

Not plus-size, but, petite? Land's End's latest collection of petite swimsuits now includes more short-torso tanks with smoothing, all-over control, and more short-torso tankinis in colorful styles that are great for mixing and matching to your petite heart's content! One bust-enhancing option you might like to try this spring and summer is the Tummy Control Gold Accent Tankini Swim Top ($48.50). As well, there are unique, form-flattering one-pieces like this Teal Blue All-Over Control Slender Tunic Swimsuit ($89.50) or this slimming Tummy Control Solid One Shoulder Tank Swimsuit ($62.50).

It's not only the petite and plus-size ladies who have difficulty finding a well-fitting swimsuit, it's our tall ladies, too! Newport News has a shapewear swimsuit line called Shape fx, and some of their styles include stunning, longer silhouettes, like this Shape fx All-over control twist-front bandeau swimsuit ($39) or this Shape fx Square-Neck Tank suit ($39).     I personally know that weight loss is hard, and discouraging a lot of the times.     I have struggled with weight for my whole life and finally have a grip on it after 30 years of suffering from diet-itis!!     I got the Lane Bryant ad in the mail last week and went to thier web site to order and of the three I wanted, not a one was availble in my size. I emailed them about it and got a canned response. Not worth the time, and I am not a big fan anymore.

    Thank goodness that SOMEONE IS LISTENING...I am a long waisted 36D size 16...NEVER can I find a suit that every fit me. I WILL be looking into these....Thank goodness my husband doesn't care for the Victoria Secret type shape...he wants a woman with curves and character.

    Slim women can have character, too, and if your man picked you because of you're curves, that's just as shallow as a man who picks a girl because she is slim.

    Shallow? I like women with curves, my wife is 5'-8" size 16, perfect.
    I don't understand how choosing someone that you are attracted too in more than one way is shallow.
    My wife was just the person I met that had everything I wanted in a partner.
    Sorry, if super skinny woman with a but like a 12 year old boy and fake bubble tits creep me out.

    I love how lane bryant doesn't even use actual plus size models on here, I have yet to see a roll on a model yet. sorry none of those women in those pictures would be considered "plus size"

    I did plus size modeling for 7 years and actually those girls are plus in that industry. I'm 5'11 and a size 14/16 i was the largest girl with my agency. There was even one girl that was considered to be a plus that was a size 6. She did have a hard time finding work because of the size that she was but they have a thing called padding that some models have to wear to make themselves look bigger for certain clients. Basically if youre over a size 16 in that industry your cut off. When i first started I remember the agencies stopped at a size 20 but now the cut off is 16 and even thats to big sometimes. Its ideal to be a 12.

    I take offense at this. It's time to have "real sized" plus models modeling for Lane Bryant. I find it insulting to have skinny babes at their website and in their catalogs. Plus size women want plus side models!

    Thanks I am so grateful for your comment. I am a size 18 and I absolutely HATE it...but thanks to medicine that I must take to stay alive I have gained nearly 70 lbs. I am so sorry that I am fat please do forgive me for chosing to live for the sake of my children. I am so sorry you must see my FAT but at least my fat can look a litle better in a swimsuit, well clothing in general, that fit!

    Oh wait why am I bothering to apologize to a superficial idiot like you? I do not like being overweight but I sure do love watching my babies grow and I appreciate every single day my fat a$$ is still breathing... go eat a carrot stick you condescending snot.

    I agree Shannon, women like this dont have a right to open there superficial snotty a$$ mouths. I am medecated as well for several medical conditions and no amount of exersize and dieting will help me to lose what medecation has caused me to gain. So, Emilia, you loud oppinionated twit, until the pharmacutical companies create a medecation that will care for my illness without causeing weight gain, you will have to just deal with the larger women in the world.
