Trend Spotlight: Snake Prints

From dresses and heels to handbags and jewelry, snake prints are slithering onto just about every element in our wardrobes this season. They serve as a sharp alternative to other animal prints, and they instantly infuse any look with an edgy touch. Since snake prints run the gamut from neutral to bold, you can count on finding something to fit right in with your existing wardrobe, whether you choose something minimal or drastic. Here, a few snake prints to see you through spring:
Pair these Boutique 9 Post Caged Sandals ($119.95) with maxi dresses, shorts and more. They'll add a hint of polish to otherwise casual looks and feature an array of on-trend cutouts along the upper.

Stack on a wood bangle or two, like these by Nvie Designs (both $9.99), to bring an instant point of intrigue to even the simplest looks.

Making the snake print look completely glamorous, this Lauren by Ralph Lauren Fulton Silk Chiffon Dress ($199) is a stunner. Its single-tied shoulder emphasizes its spring-to-summer transitional appeal, and the simple, flowing cut is a nice complement to the neutral, classy pattern.

For a serious snake print that really means business, step into a pair of BCBGeneration Aubrey Heels ($93.50). They'll turn heads with their all-out check-me-out details: zippers, nearly five-inch heels and a mesmerizing taupe snake print.

This easy New York & Company Uptown Shirred Sleeveless Top ($14.95) makes achieving an effortlessly chic appearance a breeze. Throw it on with jeans, beneath a suit jacket or with crisp trousers for a flawless look.

Celebrate the season's brightest colors with this MICHELE Lily Python Embossed Clutch ($275). A party-worthy piece, it's embellished with a large wooden ring that adds a tropical accent to the vibrant design.

These aren't new, when I was in my 20"s (40 yrs ago) I had a blouse almost identical to the black & white one the girl is wearing, and I had a brown one with 3/4 sleves too. I just LOVED the print, but now I'm too old for them..to bad, they are very nice.

As long as these items are made of fake snake.....and Trish, you're not too old. I am going on 62 and I just wore a fake snake jacket on a recent cruise. I didn't feel too old and neither should you.
