You are a huge Disney fan, and you thought you knew all there was to know about Disney. But, did you know that Disney introduced an exclusive bridal fashion line, and continues to release new styles? You can see the newest 2011 styles by Alfred Angelo in our
Disney Wedding Dresses article. But, it's couture designer
Kirstie Kelly who is the fairy tale godmother behind the 2010 bridal gowns and rings. Disney and Kirstie are giving women who grew up with Disney a chance to look and feel like a Disney Princess for their wedding with a Disney Bridal line.
While we all have our favorites who would influence our choice of gown and ring (my fave is Ariel), would you ever consider, instead, choosing a dress that best captures your personality? According to the
Disney Bridal site, the line "captures the unique spirit and beauty of each Disney Princess," allowing you to match your dress and ring to your personality! For a little bit of fantasy fun, take a look at each of the seven Disney Princess personality profiles below to find who best reflects your own spirit. For each Disney Princess that Kirstie has chosen to feature, you will also find Kirstie's inspired dresses and rings following the personality profiles. Would you ever build a wedding around these?
All of the Disney Bridal gowns are available for purchase
in stores, and the bridal gowns found online are either replicas or pre-owned. However, you can easily snag an official
Kirstie Kelly Disney by Pascal Mouawad ring online. You should also be sure to check out the other inspired, more affordable (and unofficial) alternatives. Also notable,
Kirstie Kelly doesn't just design bridal gowns and rings for each Disney Princess, she also designs maidens gowns, flower girl gowns, and accessories for them. If you wear plus-size, be on the lookout for dresses from the
Red Label line.

Hi, um, hank? I agree with you. I admire the disney princesses, but I also agree that last I checked, the bride and groom weren't playing with fingerpaint or playing ring around the rosy. I don't see how others gave you a low ranking for your comment. It's my special day, but it's the groom's as well, and it's bad enough he has to go through a stifling ceremony, last thing he wants is to see whoever he's marrying acting like a three year old bridezilla. The dresses are baeutiful and well priced so well worth it. But for the love of cake, I would NEVER do a disney princess wedding.

I would deffinitly interested in my favorite characters dress AND ring. Sleeping Beauty collection is such elegance.
replyBut I would make one complaint because I would say that I am a true disney fan from the womb. I was actually let down because I was hoping that the dresses would look like the actually princess dresses from each movie. I understand that they can't do that because it might be copy right laws but I can't honestly say that these dresses say DISNEY!!! Princess, yes.
It does look like something that each princess might wear but still I don't believe that they should be really called Disney Dresses.
But I do really love Kristi Kelly's creativity with the dresses and making these lovely dresses that are Disney Princess worthy just not THE dresses of Disney.

Just a little note to young women who are dreaming of being a princess on their wedding day: WAKE UP! Getting married is not about who you want to portray for one day. It seems like most women are so wrapped up in the little details about their "big day" that they don't even realize the depth of the commitment. Ever notice how many beautiful brides end up divorced in a couple of years? It happens all the time! And it's for plenty of reasons, and they are not all the man's fault, though it's much easier to blame it on the guy. "Happily Ever After" is part of the fairy tales we all heard as little girls, but in reality, a man and a woman have to work at their commitment, every day. And by work, I mean tolerate each other's faults (we ALL have those), support each other's interests (which will make you both more interesting--very important after the honeymoon is over) and embrace the blended family of in-laws that is created as soon as you say "I do." And once there are children, hang on for your lives. Men are not wired to love all the diapers, whining, complicated car seats, and adorable kids clothing that women so often focus on. Men put up with it because they have to if they want to keep their end of the commitment, but in reality most of them would rather spend their energy otherwise (wink wink) Which reminds me, how often does Snow White, Ariel and Cinderella think about what their guys really want? Not very often, but it doesn't matter because they aren't with real guys. A real man could not care less about the over-priced, non-sexy, gowns their fiance is out shopping for every Saturday. His thoughts are what is under the petticoat, ladies, and he's just biding his time until all the wedding stuff is over. I would bet that almost any guy who was being honest would tell you to forget the fancy dress and wear something that gets HIS attention, not your girlfriends'. But that's not going to sell a lot of wedding dresses, so you'll continue to be brainwashed into all this princess stuff. My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years, and it is still challenging for both of us. But we're in it together, and no white dress gets any of the credit for that.

My daughter just had a Disney Wedding last month. Her dress blew ALL of these out of the water. She looked like a real live Princess Grace, sprinkled with sparkles and enchanted fairy dust! The wedding was magical, and worth every penny.

replyAs for me, I would be Sleeping Beauty. Not saying that i would do a Disney themed wedding, even though i am a huge disney fan, but if i did, it would be sleeping beauty.
I believe that there is noting wrong with wanting one day to be special and for you to feel like a true pirncess!! For those out there that want that, dont let anyone tell you that its not right....

This article left out several Disney Princesses. If you go to the official Disney Princess web site, you'll find that they list not only these six, but also Pocahontas, Tiana, Cinderella and Mulan.
replyPerhaps it's just that this designer only likes the six Princesses above and has only designed dresses and rings to go along with them that the others are not included.
It would be nice to have them all included, however, if they are going to make Disney Princess dresses and rings, and if they are going to label them as "Your Inner Princess Is..."
Bet I'd have made a better Mulan or Pocahontas than a Belle...
