The latest technology gadget craze is Apple's iPhone 4 - it's new, sleek, and packed with features. Its industrial-chic design makes for a striking phone, but you might be a little worried about scratching the glass front (and back!) surfaces as well as the antenna/structral band around the edge that holds it all together. If that's the case, think about enveloping your new iPhone 4 in a
case!
Because the style, features, and design of the iPhone 4 are drastically different from earlier versions, you're unlikely to be able to use a case you might already have. But don't worry - new iPhone 4
cases are on the market now, and more are being added every day!
No matter what type of actual iPhone 4 case you prefer, make sure that it includes (or you also purchase) a
screen protector. These are clear plastic films that are applied directly to the screen. They in no way interfere with the operation of the touch screen (or any style of case), but they do save it from all those little scratches incurred by everyday use - and if you notice your screen getting a little dingy, just peel the screen protector off and replace with it a new one! Also, just for fun, you can get screen protectors in a
mirror finish.
The newest style of iPhone case is a "BandEdge" (pictured above in
pink, also available in
black) or "
Band" case. This style is unique to the iPhone 4 because it complements the design of the antenna band around the phone and still allows most of the phone to be seen. Of course, this will mean that the back of the iPhone 4 is open to scratches, so a protective screen may be in order there too. You'll also find band cases in lots of colors to suit your preference.
I

f you know that you and/or your lifestyle are pretty hard on cell phones, you may want a heavier-duty case for your iPhone 4. The
Marware SportGrip Case wraps all the way around the back of the phone so you won't have to worry about scratches there. The slip-free silicone case protects the phone while leaving all the docks and outlets accessible without needing to remove the case.

You may prefer a flip-case for your iPhone 4. These cases are popular for business applications, as they're mostly made of leather and tend to "dress up" the phone a little. The
Marware CEO Flip-Vue Case is great for presenting your phone in a very professional way, while again not interfering with the phone's functions. If you like the idea of this flip-case but want something a little snazzier, you can check out the
Marware Accent Case - in white leather with an accent band of either turquoise, green, pink, or yellow, it'll make your phone stand out in any crowd.
You may have also heard about the reception issues some iPhone 4 users are encountering when they hold the phone in a certain way on the antenna band. These cases should help with that as well - as long as they insulate the band from contact with your hand, you should have fewer reception problems related to interference caused by how you hold your phone.
