Mini Skirts: A Versatile Addition to Any Woman's Wardrobe

The mini skirt is one of those fashion trends that seems to flow and sway as time passes. The tiny wardrobe pieces were ultra hot in the 90s and have made a few come backs since then. Now, in 2010, they're coming back with a vengeance.

The term mini skirt generally refers to a skirt that has a hem which falls above the knees. So if you're a modest woman or you simply aren't sure about those super short skirts, don't fret: there is likely a mini for you out there somewhere.

There are a few positives associated with the mini skirt, including the fact that it's easy to throw on (especially when compared to squeezing into those jeans!) and can be quite versatile, as well. For example, you can pair a denim mini skirt with just about anything, including a pair of sneakers and a t-shirt. Or you can opt for a more formal version by tying your mini skirt outfit together with a pair of pumps and a nice top. For a more casual, but playful, feel, throw on a pair of your favorite sweet flats.

And for those who are still not sure about showing that much leg, consider wearing a pair of leggings underneath your mini skirt. Try a pair of jeggings (a jean legging) or a solid-hued pair in a neutral color like black, white or gray.

Seriously, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the mini, so don't let its name throw you for a loop. Check out a few of our favorite minis on the market pictured on the right.
