Pillow Pets: Why Didn't I Think Of These?

It sure is a great time to be a kid. From Zhu Zhu Pets to Skecher Twinkle Toes to Silly Bandz, there is no shortage of items that kids want, need, have to have and that parents are requested (and perhaps in my case, begged) to buy. Pillow Pets may just be the newest thing, on a list of many, that your kids really, really, really want. Although these little guys have been around since 2003, now is the first time I am hearing a lot of buzz about them.

Pillow pets are part pillow and part stuffed animal. There are over 30 animal shaped pillows to choose from. Upon first glance, this plush folding snuggie looks like a regular 'ole stuffed animal, but they are so much more than that. MyPillowPets.com says that these "unique creations are the stuffed animal version of Transformers" and that the super soft chenille that the pets are made from are "so soft it will feel like you are hugging a fur coat." They are machine washable and will hopefully provide your child with hours of companionship and comfort.

Pillow Pets are the brain children of a Mom who was tired of picking up all of the stuffed animals that were strewn about her kids' rooms (story of my life!).Close the strap across their bellies and you have a friendly, comforting stuffed animal pet; open the strap and the pet becomes a comfortable pillow.
