It's that time of the year --
computer printers take center stage on the theater of advertising. Whether it be for school needs, or the start up of a home office, printers are front and center. And, why not? They are compact in size, generally inexpensive (in comparison to their performance attributes) and very easy to set up and operate.
So it is with this
Epson printer. I've owned a number of Epson printers and I've been happy with all of them. This
Epson Workforce 610 Multi-function machine is a 4-color printer, fax machine, copier, and scanner. It sports a very convenient USB interface connection to your PC or Mac, will laser print up to 38 pages a minute, uses plain paper as the copying medium, and is Energy Star-rated for power efficiency.
Canon makes marvelous cameras, so you'd expect they might build great
printers; well, you'd be correct. This
Multi-function Photo Printer will print (on two sides), scan, and make copies. The print rate is 9 pm in black and white, and 6 in the color mode. USB connectivity, and will work just fine with your Mac or PC.
Need a new
printer for your home office? Check this
HP Laser Jet Printer -- multi-function (scan, print, fax, copy); prints in 4 colors at 8 ppm (12 in b/w) on plain or specialty paper; for your PC or Mac, Energy Star qualified, and features a one year (limited) warranty.
Another
HP unit; this one an entry level, very affordable home office model. The
HP 4500 Office Jet is an ink jet printer, copier, scanner, and fax machine. It will turn out 22 ppm in color and 6 more than that in black and white. A very nice start up machine.
If you're in the market for a
photo printer, this one from
Epson will surely please you. The
Artisan 50 Inkjet Photo Printer prints in 6 colors, on both sides of the paper, and knocks out 37 ppm. It features red eye control and Automatic Photo Correction. For a PC or Mac, you may also print on a (printable) CD or DVD; when the ink cartridge runs dry, you need change only that color, not all of them. Sweet.
You just can't get along without a
printer -- nor should you, considering the wide variety of products available today.
