It is hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner, but before you know it, your Christmas tree will be up and the entire family will be together once again. One of the best parts of Christmas is having the entire family sit down and enjoy a nice Christmas movie together, but which movies are the best? Let's take a look at 5 movies that your whole family will definitely love watching this year at Christmas.

1. It's A Wonderful Life: A true Christmas classic that the whole family will love. Since its release in 1942, this James Stewart and Donna Reed movie has come to be regarded as one of the best Christmas movies of all time. A touching story involving a man and his guardian angel that is great for people of all age, and a movie that truly gets better every time you see it.

2. The Polar Express: This Christmas movie is perfect for kids this holiday season, and has features some of the best computer animation of any Christmas movie. Released in 2004, and features ground breaking animation to give all the characters a very life-like appearance. In the story, the main character, Daryl Sabara, finds himself on The Polar Express train headed for the North Pole. Will Daryl get to meet Santa at the end of the long train ride? You have to watch the movie to find out for yourself!

3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: This is my personal favorite Christmas movie of all time. The laughs are non stop as the Griswald family hosts Christmas at their home, and have one problem after another. Featuring Chevy Chase as Clark Griswald, and Randy Quaid, as the lovable and goofy cousin Eddie. The laughs are non stop in this movie, and this Christmas movie is definitely one that you will want to watch over and over again. The laughs never get old with this holiday classic.

4. Home Alone: The Christmas movie that made Macaulay Culkin a household name, is a story about a little boy that accidentally gets left at home by himself on Christmas. With his family out of town, Culkin's character, Kevin McCallister, plans to entertain himself, but soon finds that his house is the target of burglars and most take drastic measures to protect his house. A great comedy for the holiday season that the whole family will love.

5. A Christmas Story: One of the most watched Christmas movies of all time, A Christmas Story has become a staple for movie lovers during the holiday season. It is the story of a 9 year old boy, Ralphie Parker, who has just one wish for Christmas... a Red Ryder BB gun. His mother is determined to prevent him from getting the BB gun, stating that he would "shoot his eye out" with it. There are some really funny parts to this movie involving Ralphie and the rest of his family as Christmas approaches. Will Ralphie get his dream present for Christmas? You will have to watch the movie to find out for yourself.
