What's #1 On Your Wish List?

Christmas Wish ListMost of us are familiar with the popular song, "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth." The song is adorable but you probably won't ask Santa for a new set of teeth. I bet that you have at least one hot ticket item that you'd like to receive this year. If I had to guess, the Apple iPad will be included on many wish lists. What other products will top wish lists? I asked sixteen readers to reveal their most-wanted gift. Keep reading and you'll see what our editors would like to receive under the tree. Maybe you have the same request as we do or maybe you'd like a flat screen HDTV or a new pair of UGGs? Do tell in the comments section below! You never know, your friends and family just might be reading this!
..............................................................

Barnes & Noble Nook"The #1 item on my holiday wish list for 2010 is the Barnes & Noble Nook (from $199). I read on the train during my morning commute, but often hesitate to take out a book when the train is crowded. An e-reader takes up less space than a book and makes page turning a simple, one-handed task. Additionally, I would have multiple books in one place that I could switch between depending on my mood. I prefer the Nook to Amazon's wildly popular Kindle because I find touch screen navigation easier than typing on a keyboard. I also like the fact that I would be able to turn the pages either backward or forward from either side of the screen. The starting price for a Nook is more money than I will ever spend on a book however, Barnes and Noble gift cards will be the perfect gift for future birthdays and holidays." -- Kerry

PlayStation Move"I'm sure every gamer, or parent of a gamer is looking for the perfect gift this holiday season. I know my family wants Sony PlayStation 3 320GB with Move (from $399)! While a little on the pricey side, the initial package comes with the motion controller, eye camera, and a game. I know my family will get hours of enjoyment out of it. Why it even has games my three year old can play! Some will say that it looks like the Nintendo Wii but it still has its distinct features: better control, bigger game area, and you actually have to get up off of the couch to play. So, I don't know about you but I will definitely be looking for one of these bundles come Black Friday." -- Shanarenea

Nike Dunk iDs"There are a few moments from my childhood that to this day reverberate through me like they happened yesterday; my first kiss on the playground, the anticipation of Christmas morning, and my first pair of Nike's. Back then, before the advent of the multi-million dollar shoe contract, we didn't clamor to get the new Kobe's or Lebron's, it was just the Nike's. I guess nostalgia has gotten the best of me because this year for Christmas, my 38th, I want the new, or maybe old, Nike Dunk Low iD (from $110) shoes. This year I don't want someone else's name on my shoe, I want mine. I'm going back to my roots...I want the Nike's." -- David

Freshwater Pearl Earrings"The number one item on a woman's Holiday list should be jewelry (this Freshwater White 6-7mm Pearl Necklace in Sterling Silver is available exclusively for just $49)! With this year's style showing layered looks and multiple pieces worn together, you can have a whole new look by adding some new and very fun pieces. Dressing up that conservative suit or wearing multiple pieces with a sweater and jeans can give your present wardrobe a boost. And this is a gift that is easy to find and can be pretty reasonable in cost. All the large department stores have wonderful jewelry counters and many good sales. The best part is price! Finding those additional pieces to add to your present jewelry wardrobe can be as little as $30 and up." -- Nancy

Clarisonic Skincare Brush"All I want for Christmas is glowing skin! I have been lusting over the Clarisonic Skincare Brush (from $173) for several years now. After having seen a product demonstration on QVC, my skin cried out for its non-abrasive, deep cleansing comfort. Based on the sonic cleaning technology of those high tech toothbrushes, the Clarisonic has a gentle, micro-massaging brush that removes dirt, oil and makeup to revitalize your skin. Users report fewer breakouts, smaller pores and better absorption of facial products. It might be pricey but I've been very good this year!" -- Jenny

KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer"I have only one item on my Christmas wish list, the KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer (from $256). I confess that I am envious of my friends who have this kitchen appliance. My simple hand-held beaters just don't measure up. A KitchenAid Stand Mixer can do more than just whip up a dozen cupcakes. Whether you want to make bread, pasta or even some ice cream, this countertop kitchen appliance grows with your cooking ability. With numerous attachments available, your recipe options expand too. The KitchenAid Stand Mixer comes in a variety of bowl sizes, motor watts and colors. There is an option for every style and budget point. The price increases with larger bowls, higher motor speeds and additional attachments." -- Cristine

HTC Evo 4G"The HTC Evo 4G phone's large screen and technical capabilities lift it to the top of my holiday wish list. If I was a better person, I would probably wish for world peace or a cure for cancer, but I hate to put that kind of pressure on Santa, much less my friends and family, so the number one item on my holiday wish list is the HTC Evo 4G smartphone (from $149). The Evo has all the cool features like WiFi hotspot capability, GPS, two cameras, email and blazing 4G speed, but what I like most is the bright 4.3 inch touchscreen. I can read it without putting my glasses on! At just under $200 (for new 2-year contract), the Evo is a solid deal." -- Vickie

Motorola Droid X"From the time I laid eyes on the commercial from Verizon, the Motorola Droid X (from $100) has been on top of my wish list. The Droid X is essentially a computer in your pocket with phone capabilities and a large screen. There are an abundance of applications that will keep you busy for days. Steeply priced at $569.99 from Verizon directly, or you can purchase it from online auction sites from around $475, but after seeing it in action, it is well worth every penny. Even if I don't get it for the holiday, I will upgrade soon, that's a guarantee." -- Robert

XBox Kinect"This year, the #1 item on my holiday wish list is something I never thought would be there - a video game. Sort of. When the Nintendo Wii debuted a few years ago, we really wanted one, but they were impossible to find. Besides, we already had an Xbox 360; I really didn't want to invest in another game system. It looked like so much fun, though! And what was better than getting the family off the couch and moving, but still happy? Enter the Kinect (from $149). My husband told me about this cool new add-on earlier this year. We watched the videos online. Not only would it get us active like the Wii, but there weren't any extra controllers to worry about! Our bodies would be the controllers. Best of all, we didn't have to spend hundreds on a new game system. There are games the whole family will enjoy and games our soon-to-be 13 year old daughter will enjoy." -- Christine

Flip Video UltraHD High Definition Digital Camcorder"Want to know what the # 1 item on my holiday wish list is? The Flip Video UltraHD High Definition Digital Camcorder (from $140). I saw a commercial on TV one day, and was hooked! I took it upon myself to do a little research and checked out the website. This hand-held little beauty comes in different styles and colors, and most importantly is affordable! Prices start at $149.99-$199.99 for a 4GB-8GB, and $249.99 for a 16GB. With the different styles, and the option to customize your own color, design, pattern, and even own photo, you can make it all your own! Small enough to fit in your pocket, and easy and quick so you can capture those candid moments! As a mom, every new babble, laugh and step happens before your eyes, and having a hand-held video recorder in reach makes it easy to not miss those special moments. It's definitely a must have this holiday season! " -- Chelsea

Yankee Candle"One quick stop at the Yankee Candle (from $20) store is all it takes to score the perfect gift for me. It's what I ask for every Christmas, every birthday and every special occasion. Not just any candle, though -- it's got to be Spiced Pumpkin, Cinnamon Roll, Vanilla Cupcake -- a fragrance that gives the illusion that something sweet and sinful is baking in my oven (because it never really is!). For just $24.99, I'm a happy girl! Well, at least for the 100-150 hours my large-jar candle burns. Why candles? Simple, they bring me peace. Yep, just peace." -- Jacki

Victoria's Secret Afterhours Silk Pajamas"I recently walked into Victoria's Secret with my coupon for a free panty and I couldn't tear my eyes off the Afterhours Silk Pajamas sets (from $59.50). They are so luxurious and rich looking and come in fantastic style choices. At $59.50, they were a little out of my price range, since I was only planning on grabbing a free panty! So, at the top of my holiday list is the silk pj's from Victoria's Secret in Snow Leopard. With those under my tree, I'll be surrounded in decadence the entire winter season." -- Roey

Citizen Watch"The number one item on my holiday wish list is a nice, designer watch from Citizen (starting at $117 & up). This will easily be the last watch you ever purchase, an heirloom to be handed down through the generations. A nice watch is a testament to precision, elegance and functionality that displays both the style and sophistication of its owner. This would be, for me, the pinnacle of holiday gifts. I can only hope my wife sees this before December." -- Scott

Heat Surge Amish-Made Accent Fireplace with Remote"Get cozy by the fire with my #1 wish list item...a Heat Surge Amish-Made Accent Fireplace with Remote (from $329)! My aunt had this awesome suggestion because I am known to the family as "Chilly Willy." It'll bring warmth and relaxation in any room of your home. The wheels on the bottom allow you to roll it wherever you go! No hassle, no fuss and it looks pretty too. No smoky chimney or venting required. The faux embers and flames are controlled with two heat settings. Cozy up with hubby, that special someone, kids on movie night or whatever your pleasure. Feeling iced during those cold winter months? Have a meltdown with this easy, cost efficient "hot" item." -- Classy Lady

Apple iPad"Of course, I've heard of the iPad (from $500). Sighting one has been like a quest for the unicorn. As long as I didn't see it, the iPad remained a fairy tale and my yearnings for the latest in technology remained manageable. There I was, in a book store. In walks a handsome businessman and he sits next to me. Whipping out his brand-new iPad, I watched with wide eyes as he nonchalantly tapped into the 'net, downloaded the newest music and started reading the latest news just by touching the screen. My eyes were blinded by technological lust. My first instinct was to knock him over the head, running off with his prize. Instead, I put it on my list as the number one holiday wish for under $500." -- Annette

Odyssey White Hot XG Putter"Golf truly is a spiritual game. There's nothing quite like the feeling of creating new and exciting cuss words when I miss a six-inch putt. Golf course employees tend to discourage swearing, however, so my number one holiday wish list item is the Odyssey White Hot XG Putter (from $100). It's got a soft elastomer core and a weight-shifting insert for better stability. I'm not sure what any of that means, but it sounds awesome. It's reasonably affordable at $99.99, which is well worth it to keep me from getting ejected from the golf course for screaming profanities." -- Andrew

AOL Shopping's Most Coveted Gifts...

Wacom TouchScreen Tablet"The graphics tablet (from $39) has been on my wish list for years! Whenever I'm feeling inspired and creative, I like to design in Adobe Photoshop. My friend and I are also interested in getting into online comics, so a graphics tablet would be extremely useful for drawing directly onto the computer. It's easier and faster to use than a mouse, and the pen provides more accuracy and comfort. As far as brands go, Wacom looks to be a winner! If you're struggling to find a gift for that artistic person in your life, a graphics tablet is a cool, useful, thoughtful, and affordable gift! Many begin under $10!" -- Gina

Apple iPod Nano (6th Generation)"The iPod Nano 6th Generation (from $143) tops my Christmas wish list. I currently have an iPod shuffle but I think that it is definitely time to take my MP3 player to the next level. As a self proclaimed gym rat, I love that the new iPod Nano was actually designed with fitness lovers in mind. It's really small and compact which is perfect for running and working out. You can clip it on to your workout clothes and easily control your music with just a tap or swipe of your finger. Having almost fallen off of the Stairmaster fumbling around with my current iPod, I can definitely appreciate the ease of use of the Nano. The Nano also doubles as a pedometer, making it the perfect workout accessory." -- Marquette

Opteka .35X HD Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens "I'm obsessed with my Nikon D90 SLR camera and this year for Christmas, I would love a new lens for my SLR camera. Photographers will tell you that the key to stellar photos is not so much your camera, but the lenses you have to work with. A different lens can dramatically change the look and the feel of your photo and give your photos variety. I bought my SLR last summer and currently play with two different lenses. I'd like a new one to work with that would give me different kinds of views. Here are some of the lenses I'm checking out: Opteka .35X HD Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens (currently on sale for $29.95) and the 67mm Super Wide Lens ($49.99)." -- Gen

TruBalance Toning Sneakers"I recently purchased a Kodak digital camera and I bought a Vizio HDTV earlier this year, so I think I'm all set with electronics. Sneakers are another story. I've had my sights set on toning sneakers. The Skecher Shape-Ups and Reebok Easy Tones are cool but I love New Balance's True Balance 850 (from $85). I think they are so cute, don't you?! Plus, they are under $100. The balance board technology and rounded rubber outsole help tone muscles and burn more calories. Hopefully, I'll be able to test these out on Christmas morning!" -- Veronica

Kichen Aid has been around for years and it is a wonderful mixer....HOWEVER I own the Cuisinart Stand Mixer and I have to say it is the very best of any I have ever used...It has features the Kitchen Aid doesn't and it also will accept accesories of Blender, Food Processor, Juicer, Pasta maker and a Meat grinder right on the front and top of the mixer itself....Plus it does all the big job mixing anybody could require of a mixer....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE mine....

I've made food for over 100,000 clients. Those single rotor mixers are nice, but the doubles are better for whipped dishes like chocolate mousse or pate'. The single rotor models are the secret for making poofy, crispy pizza crust. Simply attach the dough hook & let her rip. You can't kneed the dough as smooth by hand. . . Al-

Had a 23 year old Kitchen aid Stand Mixer, that still worked perfect, but I had to have a red one, so I purchased it new, lasted 1 month , used it 4 times, don't make things like they use to.

I bought a new Kitchenaid mixer to replace my old one has been broke down twice and they will not stand behind it. First time replaced by QVC second time only used it about 20 times when it broke and they said out of warrenty to bad so sad find someone to fix it closer to you. Would not recommend it must be made with cheap parts. My orginal one still works but is about 15+ years old.

I like a five bedroom house for my son & his Family. Or some thing close to it. They live in a 3 bedroom home which is just right for Him his wife & 15 year old daughter who is Austic. Their son s 9 Years old. About a six weeks ago we received a pho call from Child Protective Services in AL. Telling that my daughters three (3) children will be placed in State Foster Care. They asked if anyone in the family would take them. I called my son he said they would take them if he got legal custody of all (3) children. So they have 3 girls in one small bedroom & tried 2 boys in the other small bedroom. The 7 year old boy has some serious problem & has spend over week in a mental & behavior setting. They came with no toys or clothes. We gather that they moved from state to state & housing or shelter to shelter. We have gotten them in school & getting rules like going to school everyday. My son & daughter in law & their kids are having it difficulty with all the children He had to step up to the plate & help & protect these kids. Funds to help with the tutoring, transporttion to doctors,& help with cleaning 1 or 2 times aweek, cooking meals, My daughter goes to college at night. Any help would be a great present for all of them & me. Since I am ill & go to dializsis three times a week. God Bless you........

Cristine ~ I wouldn't envy your friend's KitchenAid mixer if I was you, unless they have really old ones. The new ones just don't measure up. I used my new one maybe 10 times. Now it drips oil when I use it. KitchenAid won't do anything. They told me the oil is safe to consume...ugh! All that for $200 plus dollars. You should do a seach for problems with KitchenAid mixers and read all the trouble people have with them before you ask for one for Christmas. I'd stick with my hand held or pick a different brand.

Whoever this Shanarenea person is, they obviously have never played a Wii-based game in their life if they can say that with the `move` they actually have to get up off the couch. My wife and I have a Wii and there are very few games that we have where we CAN sit on the couch and play them.

Also, about the Kinect ($149?!), you can now buy a complete Wii system for the same price as JUST the add-on for the XBox360... Do the math people! Unless you're the type where money is no object then which system would you be picking to grab?

Comparison: Complete Wii System $99 in most locations, Xbox360 ranging from $149 and up + Kinect for $149 = atleast $300, and the PS3 with `Move` set $400! Really, do your homework before you get any of these systems, but in my eyes Would you rather pay $99 or nearly $400 for basically the same style of gameplay?

I would like to wake up on Christmas morning and watch my 7 year old son scream "SANTA IS AWESOME! ," as he jumps and wiggles with excitement and anticipation of finding the perfect gifts under the tree. We have moved 6 times in the last 5 months and literally have nothing at this point. We are emerging from an abusive past and life has been difficult for the past 2 years.
I love Christmas. I can watch the joy and innocense of a child that has gone through hell, and has survived, bloom into a joyful experience of renewed strength and hope for the future.
Merry Christmas to each of you.
