Best Boots: Fall & Winter 2010

This season just might be the best boot season ever! The boots this fall and winter are a mix of the knockout styles we've favored over the past few years and brand new players that are pulling out all the stops. We're familiar with the bootie, the riding boot and of course, the cozy winter boot that are heaven for our toes this time of year. And though these boots are not fresh on the scene, don't think they are any less fabulous or worth our attention. As for the new boots on the block, you've got to sing praises for boots you can wear more than one way (the foldover boot) and boots that just look so good (the ladylike boot and the cuffed boot). And if you live for attention, attention is what you'll get in 2010's glam boots: the clog, the lace-up and the fur boot. So, welcome to our boot shop! Step yourself to a new pair of fun boots and if you decide to spread the love and treat your shoe-seeking friends (it is the Holidays after all), we've got plenty of boots that won't break the bank.

*Please note: Prices are based at press time, so prices are subject to change.

Boots should serve two functions - keeping the feet warm and keeping them dry. Beyond that, this is about the ugliest bunch of footwear imaginable with a few exceptions.

I will never understand how you walk on snow and ice in Spike Heel boots. Why would you even try. Now boots with out toes and with holes in them. I guess they're for the FLorida snow. Save your ankles and be safe in the winter.

Shari: You could go to famousfootwear.com for boots in wide width and they are having a 50% off sale on their boots. They are really cute and I am sure you can find something there. Also there is footsmart.com and amazon.com for wide width shoes. Good luck, I find many styles at those there and you can try Avenue.com for shoes.

It is very unfortunate that for people like myself, finding boots is immpossible. I have phlebitis, neuropothy, and edima in one leg.. That leg is very swollen expecially around the calf. Please try to remember that not all people have healthy, "normal" legs. Not all people are 5 feet 6 innches and weigh 110 pounds.
