As another year quickly comes to a close, it's traditionally a time to reflect on the year that was. Yes, it's time for the annual top 10 lists. You may have read reviews on the
top 10 songs of 2010 or maybe even the
top 10 searches of 2010. This time around, we're going to focus on the best health and beauty products of the year. We put together a roundup of our favorites. From mascara to deodorant, check out which products we loved this year. Do you have a few additions to these products? Don't keep it to yourself! We'd love for you to join in by adding your top beauty picks of the year in the comments section below.
Best Mascara: Revlon Grow Luscious by Fabulash
"Great everyday, all-day mascara! This mascara is my new go-to in my makeup bag, and I always get a strong, even coat on my lashes. My color of choice is black shimmer, and although I would normally overlook it for a plain "black" and leave the shimmer for a fancy night out, I wear it to work and through my normal daily routine confidently. Most of the shimmer is behind the scenes and not really noticeable, giving the color just the right amount of "pop" and really opening up my eyes." --

Best Acne Prevention: Zeno Heat Treat
"I have been using the Zeno Heat Treat for about two months now, but saw results after using it for just a few days. It not only helps to get rid of the pimples you have, but also attacks acne causing bacteria to help stop a breakout before it starts. Based on the company's independent laboratory testing, the Zeno Heat Treat kills 99.9% of acne bacteria in just one hour. The Zeno is easy to incorporate into your daily cleansing routine and is gentle enough to use everyday. My skin looked and felt better after using the Zeno Heat Treat." --

Best Body Wash: FAB (First Aid Beauty) Gentle Body Wash
"
The Body Wash claims to prevent dryness, be fragrance free, allergy-tested and free of harsh chemicals. I can attest -- as someone who has very sensitive allergies to many scents and also has dry skin -- that this product does what it says. Often times, scented body washes will leave me sneezing and puffy-eyed for hours, that was never the case here. The FAB Body Wash did not irritate my eyes (even when I accidentally got some in one eye!) and was a gentle moisturizing cleanser. It foams up nicely on the loofah and left my skin feeling soft." -- Elaine
Best Natural Acne Wash: Alba Botanica Natural ACNEdote Deep Pore Wash
"It is very gentle (Organic Green Tea Extract and Lemon Balm are just a few ingredients). I was pleased that it didn't dry out my skin like other acne washes that I've used and it has a refreshing scent. This natural lather digs deep into pores to help banish existing pimples and prevent new ones. It's perfect for oily and acne-prone skin. Overall, it lived up to my expectations. I noticed clearer skin in a little over a week. I'm tempted to try other products in this line!" --

Best Under-Eye Serum: Vichy Liftactiv CXP Total Serum
"I agree with Vichy's claims of "Pro-Radiance transformation visible in 1 minute" and I think we have the serum's "micro-pigments and mother of pearl to even out skin tone and give skin instant radiance" to thank for that. It also has a great smell, not something I need to have in my skincare, but definitely a plus. Just keep in mind to go light on the application or it can be overwhelming if you are not a fragrance fanatic, like me. Vichy claims that you will see +33% firmness in 4 hours (*Self-assessment by 52 women.) and I absolutely feel a little tightening within 15 minutes of using the product."

Best Hair Serum: Aubrey Organics NuStyle Organic Hair-Smoothing Serum
"I really like this styling product. This product features organic quinoa protein, which I learned helps to smooth hair fiber to prevent
frizzing and add shine. It's also got organic jojoba oil which works to moisturize and nourish hair. And being organic, this product is great for all of you who are concerned with chemicals and formaldehyde. It's got none of that!" --

Best Fragrance: Beyoncé Heat

"My choice of the best fragrance of the year is Beyonce's Heat. Heat smells amazing and is a great scent that will take you from day to night. It's a blend of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli, blush peach, honeysuckle nectar, almond macaroon, sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber." --

Best Cellulite Reduction Cream: Vichy Cellu Destock
"I love the way it made my thighs feel smoother and more toned after the layer of application dried. All in all, Vichy's Cellu Destock seems like it gave me that head-start to help diminish the appearance of cellulite by giving my legs a more even tone within four weeks, as it claimed it would." --

Best Hair Clip: Goody Spin Pin
"During the summertime, my hair style of choice is either a french roll or ponytail but this summer I tried something new and went with a messy bun. This style worked on my hair but I found that it often required multiple bobby pins. Enter Goody's Spin Pin! This handy little tool replaced multiple bobby pins and it was so easy to use. I just pulled my hair back, twisted it into a bun and screwed the Spin Pin in. Presto! I had a sophisticated bun."

Best Deodorant: Lady Speed Stick Stainguard
"I've been alternating between Lady Speed Stick and Secret for some time now. Both are great but I think Stainguard is the perfect deodorant to use when you want to ensure that you don't have white residue on your LBD." --

replyMy daughter and I bought a 2-pack in light-medium. She has darker skin than I do, but it works for both of us,and was much cheaper this way At Sam's Club than individually at a cosmetic counter. She is 63 and I am 90.

My favorite product this year would have to be Falsies mascara by Maybelline. No lie, every day someone will comment on my eyelashes, or ask me if I'm wearing false eye lashes. I just smile and say, "no, but I do use a really good mascara".
