Lee Slender Secret Bootcut Jeans (from $26.99)

"The most comfortable jeans I've ever worn were a surprise to me. I was jean shopping after having a baby and getting desperate. I finally tried on a pair of Lee Slender Secret boot cut jeans and fell in love! They fit perfectly, even on my nearly 6 foot tall frame, and hide the baby belly without squeezing me. I have never felt any pinching or binding, or felt like too much was showing when I sat down. The rise is low enough to not be "mom jeans" yet high enough to not show my underwear. The jeans hold up well, too. It's been almost a year and they still look like I just bought them." - Christine
Levi 542 Jeans (from $34.99)

"If I have to pick a comfortable pair of jeans to be in all day long, the most comfortable pair I've worn and own is a pair of Levi's 542 pencil jeans. I picked them out because I thought the back pockets were cute. The cut is great, but I think the best thing about them is the denim. It's soft but sturdy, with just enough give to it that it doesn't completely stretch out and lose its shape throughout the day. When these jeans wear out, I'll buy another pair just like them. I
have to have them in my closet!" - Robyn | "They hold their place as my most comfortable REAL jeans, so I'll keep right on wearing them..." - Lorie
Seven for All Mankind Jeans (from $165)

"Stop trying to find the pair that "fits like a glove", a very small percentage of people look good in a pair that fits like a body glove- without it looking like two pigs fighting under a blanket! Let's be honest every
body is different and to recommend one pair of jeans wouldn't be logical. I am a size 2 with "junk in the trunk", so it's always a struggle to find the perfect pair but Seven for All Mankind jeans have been kind to my behind. I now own 8 pairs (owning
Seven was just weird!)"
- Jill
Levi 526 Jeans (from $34.95)

"Levi slim-fit 526 boot cut jeans are fabulous! I'm a little curvier through the hip and the fit is amazing. There's a bit of stretch in the denim that makes these attractively snug without pinching. And no worries about what's happening in the back because these stay put when I'm bending or sitting. Dressed up or down, I just feel good wearing these jeans." - Darla
L.e.i. Bootcut Jeans (from $18)

"The most comfortable pair of jeans I've ever had were L.e.i. boot cuts. L.e.i. boot cut jeans are made of real denim, not that stretchy stuff that tends to make your backside look twice its size. They fit like jeans are supposed to fit. They flatter your shape and feel like they were made just for you.
" - Tonya
Lucky Brand Zoe Skinny Jeans (from $69.97)

"The most comfortable pair of jeans are Lucky Brand's Zoe Skinny Jeans! As a girl who has always been most comfortable in a pair of sweatpants and avoided wearing jeans at all costs, I rarely describe any jeans (especially skinny jeans) as "comfortable." But Lucky Brand jeans are my favorite because they fit my "junk-in-the-trunk" bottom area and loosen slightly as you wear them to give them that broken-in feel without ever looking sloppy." - Randi
Habitual Jeans (from $92.50)
"I look for a denim that has a slight stretch, but otherwise holds its shape. I like dark washes, and appreciate a little distressing for a vintage effect. Most of all, I look for comfort. The Habitual jeans had all of this. The length on a pair of skinny jeans was perfect on my 5'3" frame, tapering at my ankle. The waistline was not too low that I'd have to worry about a stray panty line. These were a pair of jeans I could wear on a night out or even to casual Friday at the office. My booty looked great too. Take it from someone who has a somewhat "one-dimensional" backside: the awesome back-pocket detailing on Habitual jeans are guaranteed to give even the flattest behinds some shape." - Lora
Levi 501 Jeans (from $42.99)

"I found Levi 501 jeans by accident. It was one of those desperate moment kind of purchases--not a lot of time, not a lot of money. I didn't even bother to try them on. But that's no matter, it has been true love ever since. Levi's 501 (the original) fit the same every time, every pair. There is nothing flashy about them. But what makes them the best and always irreplaceable is that the holes are mine. Earned the hard way, the real way." - Jacob
Simply Vera - Vera Wang Straight Leg Jeans (from $27.99)

"My current favorite and most comfortable jeans are the Simply Vera Vera Wang Straight-Leg Jeans. These jeans are made from denim with a lot of stretch to it and a nice texture, almost like soft peach-fuzz. The shading looks stylish, they are comfortably low-rise, have cute zippers on the back pockets, and the cut fits me perfectly, like a glove. Since they run a little big, I was actually able to buy one size down, making me feel super-slim. The best feature is the comfortable stretch, yet they don't look like you're wearing stretch jeans (no strange puckering). I was lucky enough to find these jeans in Kohl's while shopping with a friend during a sale, where she bought a pair too, for around $25 with a coupon (comfort and a steal!)." - Susan
Carhartt Jeans (from $39.99)

"There is kind of a new trend going around concerning jeans. I mean Levi's have had the greatest impact in jean apparel for years, but I got tired of the true denim blue, so I tried Carhartt jeans. I saw a commercial on TV. The color was different and I liked the style, like a carpenter pant. I tried them on and they fit great! I'm on the slim side so the jeans have to fit well or I look like I'm swimming in clown paints. I found that Carhartt are a perfect fit both in the waist and the length. After a few washings, they still feel and wear well." - Scott
Arizona Jeans (from $19.99)

"I have always owned different types of jeans. However, the brand that I have found that works best for me is Arizona. I have a 35 waist and I can usually find a pair that fits me. Brands like Levi and Old Navy go by even size numbers like 34, 36, 38, etc. They are either too small or too large. Arizona also is a lot cheaper in cost. In some cases, by as much as 25-percent. Arizona provides all types of colors and textures. They wear just as well as the more expensive brands. For me, they work well." - Carl
Just My Size Jeans (from $19.99)

"To me, the most comfortable jeans that I own, are Just My Size. I love the fact that you can get them at Walmart, as if that in its own right makes them comfortable because you don't have to pay through the nose for them. They are made of a stretchy cotton and they have several different cuts and styles. The pair that fit me the best are boot cut and they fit extremely well in the legs and inseam area. I love that the front and back pockets and the buttons on them go around the waist. They are very comfortable without bunching or leaving marks on my skin. Admittedly, I have had odd times where I have had to fall asleep in my jeans, and of the times that I have done that, my Just My Size jeans have been almost as comfy as my PJ's." - Belle
American Eagle Boyfriend Jeans (from $39.95)

"Trouser jeans appear to be coming back into fashion. This freedom of choice brings me to my favorite pair of jeans: my "FAVORITE BOYFRIEND" jeans, which I purchased from American Eagle for about $30-$40. The price is not even the best thing about these jeans! Yes, they are low-waisted. No, they don't give me a muffin top. They just kind of sling down ever so casually below my belly button, so as to graze it. They are the perfect shade of faded denim. They have holes ever so naturally placed, so that they look genuine rather than manufactured. The denim is weathered down to the point where it almost feels suede-like. When I wear my boyfriend jeans, I feel like that naturally sexy, bohemian beauty that guys claim to be attracted to." - Sara
Route 66 Relaxed Fit Jeans (from $18.99)

"I'm a big and tall guy. Finding jeans which not only fit, but leave a little extra room for comfort without making me look like a bloated whale has been a challenge. A challenge that is, until I stumbled across a pair of Route 66 Relaxed Fit jeans at my local Kmart. Sturdy without being too heavy, these jeans fit perfectly around my "plus sized" waist without feeling constrictive regardless of whether I'm standing or sitting down; unlike MANY other brands I've tried. In all, so good are the Route 66 Relaxed Fit jeans that not only have they replaced just about every pair of jeans in my closet, but I will continue to buy new pairs (and recommended them to others) for years to come!" - J.
Lucky Jeans (from $47.70)

"The BEST pair of jeans I ever owned were a pair of Lucky Brand Jeans. They were so soft and comfortable--they quickly became my favorite. I also loved the way that they accentuated my figure. True, they often come with quite a larger price tag, but they were simply worth the price because they last for years and are comfortable. So, if you are looking to treat yourself to a pair of jeans that will be your new best friend, well, get yourself down to a Lucky store and dive into their jeans." - Billie
Wrangler Jeans (from $64.97)

"The most comfortable jeans I wear are Wrangler For Women. I hadn't bought them with the brand name in mind. I just liked how they had fit on me when I'd first tried them on. They have deep pockets and a soft feel. The jeans look brand-new even though I've had them for years. They refuse to wear out and I'm happy for that. It can be a hassle getting the right pair of jeans so I like those that last a long time. Since I'm not a tall person, I must roll up the pant legs a bit but that's not a problem for me. I'm used to wearing that kind of look and prefer that to taking them in, where the disappearance of the seam would appear somewhat unstylish to me. Wrangler For Women look and feel great." - A.G.

What do old ladies wear? I am 80 and still wear jeans. It is hard for me to find jeans since I am 4 feet 10 inches and wear size 12P short. I bought a pair of Not Your Daughter's jeans and had to hem them (got them on sale, would not pay $100 for jeans). But after wearing for a while, they stretch out a bit. The next time, I bought Westbound Jeans (did not have to hem), but not as nice material, but at least they fit. Allison Dailey jeans have changed material and would not buy them anymore. They run big and I look dumpy. So, where do I go from here? We wear jeans in Arizona and shorts in the summer. Do not wear shorts anymore, wear crop pants. Hard to find pants that fit me.

E laine,
Try Gloria Vanderbelt Amanda jeans in the petitie size. I can't live without them. They come in several colors, have stretch in them & they hold their shape forever. I think you'll love them too.

I've worn Gloria Vanderbuilt for years because they fit at the waist. At 72 years of age, I don't care for the low rise. Give them a try. Good luck.

I hate jeans and would not wear them once I was in my mid 20's. Now in my 50's I found Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Stretch Jeans and won't wear anything else. I buy the Petite because I am short and never have to worry about hemming them. My vote is for Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans

I just found my favorite pair of jeans ever! It was a couple days before Christmas and I needed a cute new pair really badly, but didn't feel like fighting the crowds to look for jeans. I looked around online and found myself at Target.com checking out the "Converse One Star" brand jeans. They have some jeans that are available online only, and not in the stores. The particular pair I was looking at were called the "Tomboy" boyfriend fit jeans, which are low waist, straight through the hips and legs. They come rolled up a couple times on the bottom, but can be unrolled for a longer, sleeker look. I think they are 98% cotton and 2%....something stretchy! They come in a few different fades, I got the medium.....oh and they are very lightly distressed. I chose this pair because the reviews for these jeans were amazing.....people were just raving about the fit, the style, etc. I ordered my regular size 8 and they came a couple days later, and I have to say, I agreed with everyone else....they ARE amazing! Sooo soft and comfy, but still fit perfectly.....low waist, which I love.....and very slightly loose for the boyfriend look. Best fitting and looking pair of jeans I've ever bought, I can't believe I ordered them online without even trying them on! Price was around.....$45.00 I think, but worth it, they are adorable! You can leave them rolled, and throw on a pair of Uggs, CUTE! You can unroll them and wear like a platform sandal.......then you have a sexy/cute look. Check them out, you'll be glad! :)

As an "average-sized" (read 5'3" in height) woman who basically LIVES in jeans and lives on a blue-collar budget, I have to find jeans that not only fit, are comfortable, and wear a long time, but also don't break us financially! The last time I went to the women's section of Wal-Mart was a total disaster-all the $14 jeans are a denim-spandex mix, which doesn't even last six months when you wear them for heavy work (such as housework, firefighting, yard work, etc), and they shrunk the sizes between last year and this year-I was wearing a pair of Size 8Ms into the store, and yet the only ones that fit me new were at least a size 12 now! Seething, I went back to a tried-and-true method that I'd used before-I went into the MEN'S department! They have it right in there-all you need to know is your waist size in inches, your inseam (measure from the top of your inner thigh to your ankle), the jeans are made of 100% denim, and I was able to get two pairs for $9 each! I am NEVER going back to the women's department again! Not only do they insult you on sizing, but the fabric is less durable and they have the nerve to overcharge you for it!
replyFor me, clothes are for comfort and durability, not for looks.

I haven't seen them in years, once was told they are made anymore. Seldfield jeans, doesn't sound pretty, but they always fit well, men and women both! Priced BELOW Levi and Lee's. The only draw-back, not for the customer, is that they lasted so long, in such, turn over was slow. I was able to find some on-line, but no way am I buying jean off the internet.

I love NYDJ. They seem to fit my older shape (53). I used to wear nothing but Levis 501's until I read that they closed their last US factory to move it overseas. So I'm boycotting Levi's. I go to Ebay and buy NYDJ new with tags on for less than $100. I just refuse to pay 100 bucks for jeans!

I beg to differe. Today's Levi's are junk. The belt loops are poorly stitched and pull apart within a months time of wearing them. The inner top side of the back pockets which are made such that the material istwice as thick as the rest of the jeans due to hemming results in a coarse edge which rubs against the thinner one layeer of the jean resulting in the material becoming frayed which eventually results in holes in the upper inner corner of the back pockets. These two problems usually arise within a couple of months of wearing the jeans. I am retired and basically live in jeans and do little work that might result in these problems. Other than tese two problems the jeans last. I have had to have the belt loops doulbly stitched above the manufactured stitching to resolve the loop problem but can do nothing about the fraying of the material from thepocket problem I have contacted Levi and made them aware of my concerns and offere suggestions on how to reedy these problems. They have told me that they are aware of these problems and hopefully they will take measures to correct these problems.

Personally I like LL Bean jeans for several reasons. They shorten the jeans to whatever length, they have many styles and colors to choose from and they ship fast. They even have a lined pair for winter time. I've worn them for many years and love them.

Ever since I was a kid ..I wore Levis guess it wouldbe the 501 type. But they moved to Mexico and the weight of the cotton has been less and the dye used is not the same..so the over-all quality has gone down

I have found Vanila Jeans to be the very best quality, comfort and fit. They are a small Italian brand and can easily be found of the Internet. Try www.alpenstyle.com. I am seventy years old and wear size 6. They come in a variety of fabrics and colors.

Just as you did a while back when you left out Blue Bell brand Homeade Vanilla in you Ice Cream comparisons, you have left out the best and most comfortable jeans on the planet. I am referring to Buddys Jeans that are around $35-$40 a pair. You can look up their web-site at www.buddysjeans.com and this is the only place that I know of where one can custom order odd sizes ( such as 37W / 29 L ). Even the inside pockets are made of denim, not thin cloth that will wear thin in a short period of time. I am a trucker and I am an expert on jeans. I order all my jeans from this company.

Get mine at the thrift shop 3 to 5 bucks, they have to fit near my waist, and straight leg average, size 4 . I am 76, and live on a fixed income, and I like that they are all broken in for me.
