Super Bowl 2011: Get Your Home's Game Face On

Your favorite team may (and in my favorite team's case) or may NOT playing, but that doesn't mean that you are any less excited about watching the biggest game of the year. Don't experience the Big Game without getting your home's game face on.

Of course you want to know what the best deals on televisions are; you can look below for amazing deals from Walmart.com. But what about a cool DVR to pause the game when you have to run to the restroom? Or how about a keg insulator (for the over 21 crowd) that will keep your beer cold for a cool 24 hours? Here are 10 different products that will have you doing your own touchdown dance while you watch the big game.

Inflatable Football Player
Everyone in the neighborhood will know where your (team)allegiance stands when you set this 5 foot inflatable outside of your home. Every inflatable comes complete with adjustable tie downs, ground anchors, foot or base stakes and an internal inflation fan that stays out of sight for a one of a kind display. They are available for different NFL teams.

KegWorks Beer Insulator
For a lot of the 21 and over crowd, beer can be an integral part of watching the big game. Sure, you could just pick up a few six-packs for your friends, but why not go full out with a keg and a KegWorks beer insulator? This durable, neoprene sleeve and reusable ice blanket, maintains your keg's temperature for up to 24 hours.

Buffet Warming Trays
Watching the game can be a whole evening affair which means that you will want to keep food warm for at least a few hours. Don't let your delicious Super Bowl spread get cold. Set out some handy warming trays to ensure that your food is warm well after kick-off.

Beer Opener
Make sure you have a few beer openers handy so that you can easily enjoy your adult beverages. You don't want to be fumbling around your junk drawer trying to find a beer opener when your time would be better spent watching the game.

Surround Sound
The Super Bowl is the time to pull out all of the audio and visual stops. Ramp up your viewing experience with a new, fancy surround sound system. You will be able to use the system not just for the big game but also your family movie nights.

Serving Trays
Food is obviously a major component of watching the game. Make sure that the snacks are at the ready with this festival football serving platter. You can serve your favorite finger foods easily this way.

Sports Recliner
Your home will most certainly have its game face on with a recliner dedicated to your favorite team. You may be like me and find this chair to be more appropriate for a recreation room or a man cave, but there will be no denying your favorite team once you get one of these. They are available for different NFL teams.

Additional Seating
Make sure that you have enough seats for everyone. Do you need to have a sports recliner for all of your football loving friends? No, but make sure that there are extra folding seats in case people need them. If you want to really show your love of the game, pick up a couple of football bean bag chairs.

DVR
DVRs come in very handy if you want to go back and see an awesome play over and over. If you have been thinking about getting a DVR, now is the perfect time. Not only can you watch parts of the game again and again, but if you miss out on one of the cool commercials you will be able to see that too!

I'm ready for some football! Unfortunately the Pats won't be playing and I lost my shirt on that one!

Don't bother wasting your money on some inflatable football player. You'll either end up throwing it out or trying to store it someplace. It's not worth it.

None of those TVs are that spectacular a deal. Sure the price is cheap but many of them are no name brands which tend to have poor viewing angles and poor black levels. This is often because they use older generation panels from name brand companies (in better quality units), or lower tier panel suppliers (in lower quality units). The other problem is 60hz LCDs will likely suffer from motion blur. If you want to go cheap, get a plasma, you'll get better viewing angle, better black levels and better motion response. If you want an LCD pony up the cash for a good one, if not get a plasma. Trust me I write a tech column on home theater gear.
