We all know the truth: money can't buy love. But let's be honest about what money can buy: great gifts for your loved ones if you know how to shop! This festive and flirty Valentine's day, leave the boring
box of chocolates behind and save the
floral arrangements for your business associates (and maybe your mom). Instead, make the most of your moolah by picking the perfect present to pierce your friends, flirtation, and family with Cupid's arrow. Need some help getting started shopping online? Check out these options for the oh-so-many men and women you might want to lavish in lovely gifts this year!
For the Attention-Obsessed:
Some people would much rather receive an experience-based Valentine's Day present over an expensive item, especially if others are witness to the present. If you're in a relationship with a person who prizes PDA as something that isn't TMI, consider dressing up as the
Queen of Hearts or as the
King of Hearts and serenading your loved one at work, school, or even as a surprise on the subway. If you've got children, these costumes come in
kid sizes too, so make it a family affair!
For Romantic Lovers:
Keep things spicy this Valentine's day with his and hers nightwear-
lingerie for the ladies and
satin boxers for the boys. While you're at it, stick with the satin theme with a set of sexy
satin sheets, and turn the heat up with
cinnamon-flavored edible massage oil!
For Jewelry Lovers:
If your gem of a girl has highbrow tastes, consider gifting her with this
Diamond Heart Charm Bracelet in 18k White Gold to celebrate Cupid's day. If you're both interested in sparkly pieces at a significantly lower price tag, this
Diamond Accent Heart Bracelet in 18K Gold over Sterling Silver is beautiful as well at less than a tenth of the price!
For Athletic Types:
Romantic gifts don't have to be traditional or even typically girly or sexy - if it's an item that the recipient will love and see as thoughtful and sentimental, you'll get way more from your purchase than if you simply picked up something pretty on the shelf. If your loved one is an outdoor enthusiast, perhaps gift her with these unique new shoes and socks that are all the rage amongst active men and women:
Vibram Five Fingers, which are shoes with separate toes to conform to the wearers' feet for better performance. Combined with a couple of pairs of
Injinji toe socks (because you can't wear regular socks with Vibrams) and you'll capture your athelte's heart by their toes!

For the Stay at Home Mom or Dad:
While you work away from home, they work just as hard in house, but with few moments of appreciation. A little role reversal might go a long way if your significant other is feeling stressed. Let them take a load off while you don an
adorable apron (or a
hunky one) and prepare a feast fit for a queen, king, and their kids with
Omaha Steaks' Filet Mignon Feast, complete with potatoes and veggies for a one-stop shop! To satisfy sweet tooths, consider gifting everyone with a delicious
Mrs. Fields personalized cookie cake in the shame of a heart!
For Your BFF:
If your BFF is solo this Valentine's Day, don't leave 'em without something to remind them that they're loved! Gift her with a
movie or two that you'll enjoy watching together, like the aptly-named
Valentine's Day or a
collection of romantic comedies!
For Teens:
If you've got a boy whose age is in the double-digits, chances are he'll love being gifted with adult-repelling but teeny-bopper tantalizing
Axe body sprays, washes, and deodorants. Hey, anything to keep them clean, right? Teenage girls love to smell great, too, so perhaps gift your girl with a popular and great smelling
Harajuku Lovers perfume by Gwen Stefani.
For Kids:
Start the special day off right with a special breakfast - you can't beat this
heart-shaped waffle iron as a wonderful way to kick off the celebration! For your sensitive children, for each one print out a photo of you and just them and place the picture in this adorable
personalized Valentine's Day photo frame made exclusively for kids. Attach a message about how special they are to you for extra sentimental value!
For a Man:
If he's the kind of guy who just doesn't get into frou-frou stuff for himself, don't waste your time or money on silly trinkets. For a few weeks, give his appearance a good going over - are his accessories falling apart? Could he use a new
Movado watch to spruce up his image, or maybe a new
leather belt to replace a really frayed one? Also, if he's an avid golfer, he can never have too many
personalized tees - having a few printed up that say "I Love You - Good Luck Hubby!" is an inexpensive way to improve his game and your relationship! While these gifts aren't exactly screaming romance, they're certain to be used and appreciated by your guy!
For Yourself:
If this year you're sidelining romance and working on self-improvement instead, be good to yourself this Valentine's day. You deserve to be pampered and gifted with personal comfort and happiness, and there's no better way to get that than with a
personal massager. While some people like
massagers specifically for the neck, others prefer
handheld massagers to release tension in nooks and crannies everywhere! Who needs a valentine when you can take care of yourself?

I love these romantic gift ideas! It took me forever to think of what to get my husband this Valentine's day....I settled for a big heart shaped cookie and a love-note scavenger hunt. I should have gotten him some of those Vibram Five Fingers shoes. They look great. I will be more prepared next year, thanks to these ideas!
