I don't think this makeup is for everyone. When I first used it , I liked it , but over time it dried my skin up horribly. I called the company and did exactly what they told me to use. I ended up spending alot of money on their moisturizers and primers etc. My face felt and looked like it was going to crack and I looked like I aged about twenty years. I then went back to using my liquid makeup and eventually my skin came back to life. Maybe it works for some, but I was one of the unfortunate ones.

I agree! It also irritated my skin and my dermatologist said that an ingredient listed on the Bare Minerals literature is "Bismuth" and that can cause itching. It also gives your skin that strange shiny look. I switched to Jane Iredale and find it works better for my skin.

I have used bare minerals for years..the best make-up for me...beats the hell out of liquid stuff....there are copy cat ones that have preservatives, and I do like that bare minerals does not have them....I tried a new brand..well, new for me, called pur minerals..the lady said it was cheaper..but I kind of didn't want to switch, but did, and I love it...the lady picked a great color for me...I just use one make-up for everything..concealer and foundation....really like it.

I have used BE for about 10 years and I LOVE it. I do have very oily skin and this is the only thing I have found in about 50 years of makeup wearing that does not turn orange or bead up from the oil in my skin. I have slept in it--sometimes deliberately--to absorb oil. The eye shadows are great, you can apply with a wet brush (they call it foiling) and, again, it stays on. All of the products are multiple use--interchangeable on cheeks, lips, eyes, etc for the most part. I recommend to anyone with oily skin. It is especially nice for teens because it it so natural looking. Colors in the jars ane much more concentrated/intense than they are when applied. Powders do not count for TSA amounts for travel, another plus. Tiny makeup kit for many days away.

The photo you are using here is NOT a BareEscentuals product. The article is about BareEscentuals, but the photo of the kit is for a totally different line of products. Just thought you'd want to know.
