Sony Computer Entertainment presents the sequel to the hit 2009 game from Sucker Punch Productions.
inFAMOUS 2 (PS3 - $59.99) again focuses on Cole McGrath, the former bike courier who gained superhuman abilities after surviving an explosion in Empire City. After learning about the true identity of Kessler, and the nature of the coming fight, Cole battles with the so-called Beast, barely surviving the encounter. He and his fellow courier and friend Zeke make off for New Marais, the place where the mysterious Ray Sphere was originally created. The promise of refining and expanding his electrical powers calls to Cole, knowing that he will inevitably have to face the Beast again. But standing in his way are two formidable groups: the horribly mutated Corrupted and the vicious Militia, the latter led by a powerful man bent on ridding the city of all superhuman or mutated beings. The original's brilliant morality system is enhanced in the sequel, with good or evil choices made by the player effecting the entire game, and resulting in two completely different endings. The open sandbox-style play is also enhanced, with Cole's abilities able to manipulate and destroy much more of the environment. Players will also be treated to all new, focused superhero abilities, as well as a vicious melee system that promises brutal hand-to-hand battles. In addition, the game boasts a content creation system that allows players to generate missions for other players, the best of which will be voted on and uploaded for all players to be included in the gameplay. THQ presents the fourth installment in the Red Faction third person Mars adventure.
Red Faction: Armageddon (XBox 360 - $57.99; PS3 - $59.99; PC - $47.99) takes place 50 years after the events of
Red Faction: Guerilla. The Martian liberation has taken its toll on the planet, its surface now an uninhabitable hellscape torn by lightning and super-tornadoes thanks to the destruction of the Terraformer machine. The human population has retreated underneath the surface, creating colonies in a series of mines left behind by their ancestors. The hero of the story is Darius Mason, grandson of Revolution heroes Alec Mason and Samanya, who now works in the colonist hub of Bastion doing dangerous odd jobs. He is one of the few smugglers and contractors brave or stupid enough to venture to the surface. But during one of his jobs, he is tricked by a madman Marauder priest into opening a shaft in a Marauder temple that unwittingly unleashes hell upon the humans of Mars. A long-dormant race of Martian creatures emerge from the caves, looking to wipe the planet clean of any life. Darius is blamed for letting the creatures loose, the humans viciously turning on him in a violent mob. His only choice is to join the Red Faction and stand against the creatures.

Codemasters presents a sequel to the 2009 game
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
Operation Flashpoint: Red River (XBox 360 and PS3 - $59.96; PC - $49.99) finds a United States Marine fireteam coming under fire from a terrorist organization in Afghanistan. The Marines are sent into neighboring Tajikistan to wipe out the insurgent threat and shore up the infrastructure of the region by repairing a dam. Their mission becomes complicated, however, when in the process of attacking an insurgent stronghold they come upon a unit from the People's Liberation Army of China. It seems the Chinese are looking for retribution after the terrorist group killed Chinese athletes during the 2012 London Olympic Games. Now, with the Marines and PLA exchanging fire, a flashpoint threatens to expand into global warfare. A PLA mechanized division hounds the Marines, forcing them to beat a hasty retreat. The surviving Marines of Outlaw-2-Bravo then begin a campaign to slow the advance of the PLA into Tajikistan, using guerilla tactics to hold onto a series of strategic bridges long enough for reinforcements to arrive. The game is a tactical shooter, focusing on hyper-realistic four-player cooperative play--though unfortunately it contains no competitive multiplayer. Players choose from one of four classes: Rifleman, Scout, Grenadier or Automatic Rifleman. As they progress through the game, they can upgrade their weapons, armor, attachments and perks by hitting certain experience achievements.

thinkSMART presents the first Wii port of its children's computer game
Crazy Machines (Wii - $19.99). The wacky professor returns for more Rube Goldberg-style mania, as players concoct outlandish machines just to do simple tasks. The professor has over 100 uncompleted machines around the world that need to be finished. Together with a friend, players jump in to the machine creation game, hoping to spark chain reactions that will go all the way through the machine to complete the goofy task. Each machine only has a few limited resources with which the player can outfit the contraption, so they'll have to use deductive reasoning and a whole lot of creativity. Gears, pipes, conveyor belts, clotheslines, birdcages--dozens of objects must be placed in just the right spot to complete the machine, each of which is located in a different colorful setting. Speaking of creativity, the game also has an open sandbox mode, which allows players to freely build their own crazy contraptions from the ground up. Perfect for the whole family.
