"Cat's Eye" glasses were a 50's trend. The 60's look was more the oversized sunglass style, a la Jackie Kennedy.

I was thinking the same thing! I almost wondered if they put the wrong photos with the article, but then saw that the names of the glasses included the term Cats Eye.
My cats eye glasses were small, with pink tips! Nothing like these photos!

These are the modern version of cat eyes. But, who would know the difference, right? Thats what they were hoping.
