Feminine Eyes via Pretty Pink and Purple Shadow

Color is often intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. In fact, playing with pigment can make you feel young, soft and ultra feminine. This season, the colors to don range from soft pink to iridescent peach to eggplant purple and even fuchsia.

If wearing a color like pink or purple makes you nervous, play around in front of the mirror for a while before taking to the streets. Experiment with layering the eyeshadow until you reach your desired opacity and try on different colors until you find one that makes you glow. You're sure to find a hue that flatters your coloring somewhere on that girly spectrum.

Makeup Tip: Apply an eyeshadow primer before applying shadow to your eyes, especially if your eyeshadow contains glitter or shimmer. The base will keep your shadow from creasing and from falling onto the rest of your face. If you're in a pinch, apply a touch of regular foundation in place of eyeshadow primer.

After working in the beauty industry for 25 years, I know this about pink and purple eye shadow. If its not put on right, you can come out looking like a hot mess. If done in the right shades for you... Beautiful!
