Stylist on a Soapbox: Wearing White All Year Round

Fashion rules are absolutely meant to be broken. As I mention in the video, things that may seem unconventional -- dresses over jeans, lots of big jewelry paired together -- can actually look surprisingly good. With the end of the summer comes a change in wardrobe; strappy dresses, sandals and shorts are packed away in favor of boots, jeans and chunky knits.

As you are transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall you may be tempted to swear off anything white, but before you do, I want to let you know that contrary to popular belief, white can very much be worn after Labor Day, into fall and actually all year 'round.

Winter white jeans will look amazing with a pair of closed toe heels or wedges and a winter white dress paired with black tights and a black skinny belt looks down right hot.

While it is probably best to stay away from anything that is stark white, creamy whites will be the perfect color to wear from now through the end of the year. From watches to sweaters to pants to jackets, white is one color that can absolutely be worn 365 days a year. Down below are some great whites to kick start your fall wardrobe.
