October signifies a lot of things.
The true beginning of fall (and all the beautiful foliage that's married to the season), comfy-cozy clothing, hot apple cider and the anticipation of holiday rush. Shoppers and businesses alike get amped for the Christmas rush while decorating with ghoulish goblins, hairy spiders and other spooky props.
While all those holiday-related items come priced at a pretty penny, other items have reached low-low prices. Below are some of the best things to buy in the month of October. We recommend stock-piling for holiday shopping purposes or, if you're in the mood, treating yourself to a few goodies.
Hair Conditioning Products

Though hair products tend to stay the same price year round, the best time to actually pay for them and put them to use is during the colder months. When temperatures drop and humidity becomes non-existent, hair begins to feel dry and brittle.
This, of course, translates to crunchy-looking, lackluster locks that look like they could use a refreshing drink. That refreshing drink comes in the form of hair conditioning products. From deep hair conditioners to products that seal and lock in moisture, you can't go wrong with a little hair-TLC.

Jeans
In anticipation of the back-to-school rush, retailers everywhere stock their shelves with loads and loads of denim jeans. Now that the rush is finally over, all that merchandise comes with more affordable price tags. Just in time for the chilliest season of all!
From bedazzled straight legs to
skinny jeans, jeggings and the classic bootcut, you shouldn't have a hard time finding a pair that makes you feel -- and look -- fabulous. And the better the price, the more fabulous you feel, right?

Jewelry

Chances are you've already heard dozens of jewelry commercials on the radio or television within the past month or so. And if you've driven or walked by a jewelry storefront, you've seen the tempting sale prices advertised in giant script: "Buy now!" "50 percent off!" "Zero Interest!"
We're here to tell you that if you're in the market for jewelry -- whether it's for yourself or someone else in your life -- you can take those stores up on their offers. Jewelry sales are typically slow in October, so to increase traffic and profits, jewelry shops offer their loot at low-low prices. Now's the perfect time to stock up for holiday gifts, as well.

Whether you like to throw on a little something special for yourself or a special someone, now's the time to splurge on sexy lingerie. As retailers focus their attention on holiday-related merchandise, the cost of last season's lingerie drops (in the same way your lingerie drops in the bedroom! Sorry, had to go there!). You'll find sexy lingerie -- which, let's face it, does the trick no matter what season it's from -- at up to 90 percent off.

Things Not to Buy
Halloween Decor
We know it's temping to buy Halloween decorations the month of October, but trust us on this one: don't buy! Halloween decor is sold at top dollar throughout September and October, largely because people will pay the price. If you can, use last year's decorations and wait to buy until after the holiday has passed. If you must buy and still want to save money, try a second hand or dollar store.
Christmas Decor
Though we're still a few months out from Christmas, holiday decor is all over stores and, like Halloween merchandise, being sold at full retail price. Again, use last year's decor or buy second-hand and then wait for Christmas products to go on sale after the season is over.
Perfume
Perfume is one of the most common holiday gifts for people. As a result, perfume and cologne prices are typically at their highest from fall through January. Wait to splurge on lovely scents until after the new year. Now's the time to sample fragrances, though. Sign up for samples online or ask for samples at department stores.
