I have been tempted to try these especially for my stomache that has blown up like I am pregnant. Aside from not knwing how to figure out what size I need, I was concerned about squeezing into something like this with my rhuematoid arthritis. My hands and wrists hurt especially bad. Thanks for your comment regarding the RA, I know now it is something I won't bother to try, thanks Virginia.

Shape wear isn't always about flab .. it's about self worth. Most of the women wearing it don't even need it. They already have body issues, ground into them from nasty comments like YOURS. If you must say something hateful .. please post a pic of yourself .. preferable in your underwear .. so we can judge you. :)

Most of this Tom is confidence boosting. If a woman has a little help in wearing something like this...and it gives them confidence...it helps them feel sexier. If they feel sexier...she is going to come home and take it out on you. Unless you are single...then you are just putting them down. That doesn't do anybody any good. Personally I don't prefer stick figure girls...I feel like I will break them. I like a little something to hang on to.

Grow up, kid. Seriously. I LOVE big women. When I see a skin and bones, lollipop girl, I feel sorry for them and want to give them a Big Mac and a hug :(
And by you insulting them just proves you either have a tiny wee wee or have some serious self confidence issues and are just trying to compensate by putting others down. Like I said, grow up.

I would gladly lose weight if you can tell me how to do it while on prescription medications that have weight gain as a side effect. One of them, I gained 30 pounds in the first 3 months, and 50+ pounds in the first year, without changing my diet/exercise habits. My doctor forbids me to eat less than 1000 calories a day, the minimum for proper nutrition, but even on 500 calories the weight wasn't coming off. Until Big Pharma can make prescriptions that work without messing up my metabolism, I'm stuck with the extra weight.
And, no, Tom, I'm not out of shape. I can lift a 250-pound man without breaking a sweat. Can you?

Honey I hate to tell you but its not only heavier women wearing this stuff, its EVERY woman! Every star you seen on a red carpet is wearing some sort of shaper nowadays. Because even a woman who wears a size 4 wants to wear something that helps her shape look better and smooths out all the little bumps under a tight dress. Didn't you notice they run in sizes from 2 on up? Duh!!!!

Hey Dan and Tom...please reread the article..did you miss the point again? and prey tell why are you looking at ladies in underwear? seriously? Virginia was commenting on a good point for ladies with medical issues. How about you take manner lessons? bet your ego gets busted when you can't get one off of a lady and when she does, you find she has been hiding something from you... :-)
