Whether you're looking to make out under the mistletoe or just want to look your best as you bring in the holiday cheer, here are some beautiful and affordable dresses that make the most of your figure in a festive way!
Hide Your Hips
If your hips tend to bulge, change the cut to an a-line dress that hides your hips while accentuating the rest of your curves. Throw in an empire waist for maximum slimming, like this
Soprano Plus Size Dress, Long Sleeve A-Line Empire ($53.99).
Minimize Your Bust
For those of you blessed in the chest, there are ways to dial the attention down. Minimize your bust with a drape neck that covers beautifully, like this
Alex & Ava Drape Neck Jersey Dress ($158).
Show Off Your Arms
Uncertain of your assets? When in doubt, show off your arms. This
David Meister Jeweled Satin Cocktail Dress ($312) boasts a detailed bodice and cap sleeves – the perfect dress for an upper body focus.
Hide Back Fat
Some dresses are cut too tight, highlighting back fat. Hide this problem with a simple cape dress, like this
MCQ BY ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Jersey Cape Dress ($304), which slips on easily and provides an elegant flow.
Lengthen Your Neck
Lengthening your neck means lengthening your figure for a leaner look. Try a deep v-neck dress like this
Ella Moss Shayna Striped Jersey Dress ($178).
Maximize Your Curves
Don't hide curves – highlight them! Use a wrap dress like this
Anthropologie Corliss Dress ($168) for a feminine, throwback style that accentuates a fuller figure or a leaner hourglass.
Shave Off 10lbs
Lose 10 pounds the easy way, by simply creating an optical illusion. Dresses with black panels on the side create a visual effect that's slimming, like this
David Meister Lace-Side Belted Dress ($355). The panels and belted waist slim your figure while maintaining a sophisticated style.
Embellish Your Bust
Instead of lowering your neckline and showing skin, why not add something different? Add a bow to your bust, like this
Gosh You're Swell Dress ($190). This fitted dress features a dramatic rose with sparkling silver thread running through green stripes.
Hide Thick Arms
Sheer sleeves make it so you don't know where wobbly arms begin or end. Try this
Rise Jewel Shoulder And Cuff Embellished Dress ($81.81) that hides your arms while keeping the attention on your legs.
Accentuate Your Tiny Waist
Flaunt this classic, feminine feature by drawing attention to your waistline. This
Milly Dani Ruffled Bow-Waist Dress ($450) features ruffles framing the front and a bow tying at the waist. A flattering cut for smaller frames.
Draw Attention to Your Beautiful Face
Sometimes a simpler design focuses attention on your gorgeous face. Try a turtleneck cut for a more understated, intimate look at the real you, like this
Karen Kane Turtleneck Dress ($66.75).
Minimize Your Belly
Change the perception of your belly size by combining styles. A wide belt cinches your waist while slimming your frame. Match with a unique print and the illusion is complete, like this
Tracy Reese Printed Dress with Belt ($398).
Draw Attention to Your Décolleté
There is nothing more sensual than a women's décolleté. Go strapless and indulge in this undeniably feminine (and flattering!) design. Try this
Tibi Beaded Jersey Long Strapless Dress ($462) for a dramatic look and comfortable, jersey feel.
Show Off Your Legs
If you've got them, flaunt them! Go with a flirty feel, like this
French Connection Fast Shelby Stripe Dress ($228). With slimming black on the upper body and sexy red at the bottom, this will leave all in awe of your stems!
Show Pride in Your Pregnancy
Show off that baby bump in true style with this
Isabella Oliver Sequin Tunic Dress Sequined maternity dress ($299.25). This gorgeous, sequin dress features a satin tie for a finishing cinch. Look fabulous while showing your pregnancy pride!
Look Taller
For those of you who are vertically challenged, try vertical stripes to create the illusion of length. Check out this
Roland Mouret R&M Richards Dress and Jacket, Sleeveless Glitter Striped Evening Gown ($129) for a fabulous, glittered touch.

Beautiful pluz size holiday dresses. Long sleeve Soprano Empire dress but why the rayon/spandex? Why not use natural materials?

"The dress to wear if you have thick arms"? Hey, how about losing some of that flubber-fat off your pig-arms, instead of trying to hide it under fabric? Gooshy women are a turn-off.

LOL! Gonsalvo, that is one way of seeing it, but of course not everyone is obsessed with the model look...rail thin, waif women. In most latin cultures (not American Latin), thick women are appreciated! Sometimes I wish I were a thick Latina!

Folks, let us not judge Gonsalvo for his rude, ignorant remarks. You see, he likes little boys and, well, now that this Penn State mess has been brought into the open, he can't get little boys anymore, so he has to settle for women who are built like little boys. That's okay, Gonsalvo...leave the real women to us men who love women built like women.

You know Gonsalvo, not all woman are made for you. So the rude comment you just made is really someone trolling. And even though I am replying to your comment, you have a lot to learn about women. We come in all shapes, sizes and age. BUT the one thing we all have is a heart and we dont need men like you in it, because you are a self centered individual who needs know one but themselves.

Wow, love the long sleeve red dress with the daisy cutouts above, went to order, and looked at the size only available up to size 10.....It would seem to me that someone having fat arms to hide would also have a fat ass that would need covering, you would expect it should come in larger sizes......leaves me out.....

A party dress that shaves off 10 pounds.... hmmm unless that dress has razor blades shaving off some fat, there's no way ANY dress is going to make me look 10 pounds thinner! lol Besides, rayon and spandex are HOT and gross... anyone who has hot flashes or a little extra weight knows that COOL materials are a must! You can shave off 10 pounds and look great but if your sweating like you just ran a 10 K and you're only standing in a room talking to friends and family.. it looks and feels HORRIBLE! Cool clothing ONLY! Us hot flash women deserve it!

It is nice to see woman going to a dress for a change. Tired of seeing woman in paints.

I love dresses but never found one that really defines me, I have an average bust, small waist and larger hips. But I have found that a tailored pair of pants, a v-neck type of blouse, and nice fitted jacket has done wonders for me. Just a suggestion. And pair of really nice heels even though I am rather tall, heels makes a woman's legs look great.
