2012 Trend: A Touch of Gold

What are a few words that comes to mind when you think of gold? Likely they're synonyms for words such as rich, luxurious, warm, lavish and ritzy.

When you add a bit of gold to your ensemble, you're inviting those very descriptors into your life. The best part? You don't have to spend thousands of dollars on real gold to pull your look off.

A simple touch like shimmery golden eye shadow, glittery gold nail polish, gold-toned accessories, satiny gold ballet flats and metallic gold jackets work just as well. Of course, you can always splurge on a stunning, gold-hued piece, like Jennifer Fisher's brass cuff pictured below.

Think about incorporating a few gold pieces into your wardrobe for this spring and summer. You'll be able to wear them into fall and winter, since gold goes well with just about everything.
