Quirky Handbags, Clutches and Coin Purses
As you've probably gathered from some of my previous posts, including Quirky Trend: Insect-Inspired Jewelry and Spring 2012 Trend: Color Blocking, I'm drawn to all things bold and unusual. Products that make you glance again, just to make sure your eyes weren't fooling you, and leave you satisfied with the creativity of the product's designer.Take, for example, the Kate Spade Hedgehog Coin Purse ($95) looking at you slyly in the picture at left. I'm a little...hog wild over it (apologies for all forthcoming cheesy puns). It's definitely unconventional, but the 14k gold plated hardware give it that sense of chic sophistication very accessory should possess. And, by the way, coin purses are totally underrated. They keep your purse from sounding like jingle bells and also double as a mini clutch when you just want to carry your ID, some cash and go-to lipgloss.
