There are lot of uses for vinegar. To get rid of lime buildup in your bathroom, make a paste of 1 teaspoon vinegar and 2 tablespoons salt. Apply this mixture to your sink fixtures and rub it with a cotton cloth. A natural way to kill bathroom germs is to spray full-strength vinegar around the sink and tub and then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
If you have a clogged drain, sprinkle 1/4 cup baking soda in the drain, followed by 1 cup vinegar. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then flush with a pot of boiling water. You can also erase crayon, pencil, ink, and furniture scuffs from painted surfaces with baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda on a damp sponge, rub clean, and rinse.
Clean a bathroom mirror with shaving cream (the old-fashioned white kind, not the gel kind), then wipe with a soft cloth. This will also help keep the mirror fog-free after your showers.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on under eye creams. Aquaphor, applied gently around the eyes before bed time, will easily help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Don't waste money on wipes that promise to take off all of your makeup. Put a little extra-virgin olive oil on a soft cloth and gently rub your face with it. Your makeup will come off easily. Also, to control hair frizz, comb a bit of olive oil through dry hair to tame the fly-aways in the winter and to control frizz on humid days
If you have lots of old books in storage, think about putting a dryer sheer between the pages of your book which will leave your books smelling nice and fresh. Similar to olive oil, dryer sheets will also help to keep fly-aways at bay.
When applied to hair, avocado, egg yolk and olive oil act as humectants; they trap in moisture and the hair shafts soak up the nourishment they need.
Put one fully ripened avocado, along with one egg yolk, and a half of teaspoon of olive oil in a shallow bowl. Mash the avocado until smooth and then add egg yolk and olive oil and stir until combined. Divide your dry hair into sections and apply the mixture to your hair by massaging into each section. Allow the mixture to set for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
