For Spring: Comfy Kicks Packed with Personality

Spring brings with it a mini shoe-related conundrum. Temperatures are still too low to rock a casual flip flop or sandal, but you don't want to run around town in snow boots either. And while adorable galoshes and rain boots have their place, they're not ideal for long walks or a day spent on your feet. (Plus, to wear them sans stormy weather would look pretty silly.)

The solution, of course, is to opt for snazzy kicks that keep you comfortable -- and dry, should Mr. Raincloud show up -- in addition to adding a touch of flare to your ensemble.

For spring, I'm especially digging Teva's Fuse-Ion shoes, which come in a bright red and a cool black with blue details. Late February you'll also have a light gray option to choose from. These classic oxfords have that boyfriend sneaker vibe: slightly sporty, but ultra low key and casual. And yes, they're just as comfortable as his.

Why do I like them for spring? Mostly because they give you the option to stomp around in puddles -- without getting your tootsies wet. That's right, these science-y sneakers utilize a technology that prevents shoes from absorbing water on a molecular level. They're super high quality and will last you for years, so don't let the $90 price tag deter you.
