Say Yes to Funky Nails: Neon, Pastels, Glitter, Prints

Though we're stilling experiencing cooler temps, the truth of the matter is that temperatures are heating up. An easy -- and inexpensive -- way to show a little spring spirit is through your nail polish.

This Spring 2012's nail polish trends are fun and playful. From bright, splashy hues to soft pastels to quirky prints and designs, it's all about tapping into your frolicsome and feminine side.

Below I've highlighted four trends, include: neon nail polish, pastels, glitters and prints. Prints and designs can be accomplished a few different ways. For example, Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips work, as do nail pens, crackle nail polishes, magnetic nail polishes, etc. If you're really into making your nails a piece of art, you'll dig websites that focus on nail polish application, such as Lauren Conrad's The Beauty Department or The PolishAholic.

This isn't new.... they have been out for quite a while. My daughter is always buying nail polish, and I haven't seen anything new in a long time.
