Newest Disney Wedding Dresses for 2012

Ladies! Nearly a year has passed since our last story on Alfred Angelo's Disney wedding dress designs inspired by some of the most popular Disney Princesses. Dresses for the same seven princesses are available this year as last, but now, there's also an eighth to consider because for 2012, a new princess is joining the collection. She's vibrant, spirited, intelligent, daring and kind -- it's Rapunzel! Alfred's sizes are 0 to 30W, and all of the dresses go for under $1,600. Actually, there are exactly three new designs under $1,000. Dreamy! Just take a look at our slideshow for the dresses and to see our own picks for wedding dresses that remind us of each of these iconic and lovable Disney Princesses. How did we do? Tell us with which Disney Princess you most identify, and whether or not you think the dress designs really suit her beauty and personality!

If none of those dresses really wow-ed you, try looking for your own fairy-tale-come-true below. Because we love to make your life a little easier, we've organized the dresses by budget to help you stay within yours! You can also browse all of our wedding dresses.

Hmm...in the Disney movie, anyway, Cinderella was a long-suffering pliant drudge, sighing "oh, me!" until fate removed her from the kitchen and set up the handsome prince to sweep her off her feet. Rapunzel, in the classic tale, got knocked up by HER handsome prince....The dresses? Same old piles of fluff. Will that strapless thing NEVER go away??? 9 out of 10 brides in the Sunday paper are porky armed ladies stuffed into the strapless uniform. Very unflattering, and disrespectful to the church if that's where the wedding takes place.

I agree. The strapless look just keeps lingering on. It's become so boring!

Your attitude towards heavy set women are ver unflattering, inappropriate, and disrespectful. The strapless dresses are made for heavy set women is to make them feel comfortable and sexy. I happend to be a heavy set woman. I am 5'4 and 207 and loving it. I don't have to be a skinny tooth pick to feel beautiful. Did it every occur to you that maybe some people might find skinny women unattractive and unflattering. In some countries people find heavy set women attractive and they worship them. Some people in other countries like africa, jamaica, belize, etc... consider women to be rich. The womens body informs people of their social status the thicker the woman is the richer she presumes to be and that's because they think that the woman is eating and she has money. When they see a skinny woman they think that woman is poor and sick. They don't call their women fat or porky they call their women thick madames. So being skinny does not make you beautiful. You need to think before you speak.

My favorite princess growing up (and still is) Sleeping Beauty. Why isn't there a gown for her?

Hi Jc, I see where you're coming from but they did make one for her. If you flip threw the photos to the 13th one you see "Princess Aurora" AKA "Sleeping Beauty." For some weird reason they decided use her real story name instead of the one everyone knows her by. Maybe for the purpose of keeping the "Princess" theme going they decided Aurora fit better than Sleeping Beauty...since it doesn't really have the Princess title in it.

Princess Aurora is Sleeping Beauty. "Sleeping Beauty" was the name of the fairy tale, but not the princess. Also, if you remember the story, when she lived in the forest with the 3 fairies (Flora, Fauna and Merriwether, I believe!) she was called Briar Rose.

I am not a fan of larger then life weddings.. AT ALL.. I think is sets up the bride and groom for failer..And I've been married to the same man for 33 years. BUT these wedding dresses are STUNNING..Breath Taking...My eyes are in heaven :) I had a very small wedding, but I would have worn the Princess Jasmine dress in a minute for my wedding.. I'm the same size and weight as when I got married, after two kids, and it would look beautiful... Thank you so much for these beautiful pictures..

I'm surprised the gowns are all strapless. Strapless wedding gowns are kinda becoming out-of-style ( Thank you, Kate Middleton! ) Very few brides look good in a strapless gown and it's a style I'm glad to see fading. I guess the style was perpetuated by designers and retailers who could charge ridiculous prices for gowns that actually used less fabric. I mean, they didn't have to add sleeves or a bodice! I could never figure out why women who would not be caught dead in public, wearing a strapless dress or top would appear that way at their wedding?

Don't be sorry .... unless you intend to wear one. It's a very unflattering style for most women.

Where is Pocahontas? I took my four year old daughter to see the movie in 1995. She's been a huge fan eve since. She's 20 now, with her first serious boyfriend. It would be special to us if she could wear a Pocahontas wedding dress (if) and when she decides to get married.

    Your designs are lovely!
