On Trend: Oversized Clutches

One of my absolute favorite trends for the spring and summer 2012 season is oversized clutches, sometimes referred to as an envelope or portfolio clutch. They're far more convenient than your standard narrow clutch since they give you a little extra room to store your necessities. Plus, they're oversized, meaning they're bound to make a bold statement no matter what you're wearing.

You can choose an oversized clutch in just about any color or print. This spring's hottest color trends include pastels and primaries, either alone or color-blocked. Funky prints -- including beach-inspired, geometric, African, Indian and animal -- are also on trend and spruce up an otherwise simple, streamlined ensemble.
