Every day we sport chic accessories, flattering clothes and compliment-worthy shoes, but there's one thing we wear every single day that sometimes gets overlooked: our hair.
Because our tresses are "worn" daily, ladies, we should strive to make every single day a fabulous hair day.
Sure, the occasional frumpy, hide-it-under-a-hat hair day is acceptable, but I contend that a nice hair day improves your confidence. In fact, I always feel my best when my hair looks/smells/feels amazing.
Anyway, I'm sharing four amazing hair tools that I currently have in my beauty arsenal. These babies get a lot of use out of me and for good reason. I know you'll enjoy them, as well. I know that for some they seem quite expensive, but think about how many tools you've gone through and how much you spend on them? High quality products will last for years, cut down on styling time and keep your hair healthy.
NuMe Curling Wand, $135
When I'm going for that piece-y, easy breezy textured look, this is my go-to styling tool. This is a tourmaline curling wand and it comes with styling glove to prevent burns.
As someone with really thick and longish hair, styling my hair can sometimes take upward of an hour and a half. I decided to upgrade my styling tools to speed up my morning routine and this baby definitely helped, cutting my prep time down by at least 20 minutes. It heats up almost instantaneously and curls very quickly. Because this product -- like all of NuMe's hair tools -- uses negative ion technology, it'll keep hair frizz-free.
HerStyler Reverso Curling Iron, $89.95
While the NuMe Curling Wand gives me textured hair, the Reverso creates a completely different look. The curls start our tight at the top and then are more loose on the ends. I love the bouncy, girly look this tool helps me create. Whenever I use it, people always ask, "How did you get your hair to do that?" I always consider that a sign that I'm doing something right!
Other perks about this bad boy: heats up in under 60 seconds, uses negative ion technology to zap frizz at the source, comes with a heat styling glove, lightweight and easy to travel with.
Bio-Ionic iDry Whisper Light Pro-Dryer, $98
Whenever I use this blow dryer, Handel's famous "Hallelujah Chorus" plays in my head. Seriously, this thing is incredible. It dries my (very thick) hair in under 15 minutes, a feat that can take over an hour with low quality tools. Bonus: I don't look like the King of the Jungle (read: a lion) after I'm done. Not only does a faster blowout save you time, ladies, it cuts down on your electricity bill. That's a mega win, in my book.
NuMe Silhouette Flat Iron, $109
For those days when I want stick straight locks, I head straight for my NuMe Silhouette flat iron. Now, let me tell you that I've gone through a bajillion different hair irons. I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the perfect tool, but my hair just never had that glossy, super straight look that I was going for. I love the finished look NuMe's Silhouette provides. It's easily one of the best flat irons I've ever used.
According to the site, "The NuMe Silhouette Professional Styling Iron has a unique alignment system that ensures ideal contact between your hair and our 100% ceramic plates infused with termaline. Using pure ceramic plates ensures even heat distribution, eliminating the hot spots and chipping associated with conventional irons. Our tourmaline ceramic plates emit negative ions which seals moisture in the hair cuticle keeping your hair shiny, healthy and silky smooth."
