Spinner Luggage -- Minimizing Your Airport Exercise

I took a long weekend trip to New York City, to visit family, and while in the airports I had the opportunity to do some people-watching. I took particular note of what flyers use for carry-on luggage in order to see if I need to upgrade the rucksack I have used for some years. Although I don't need to change what I carry, I did see that many travelers are using spinner luggage -- the kind with four wheels that is very easy to maneuver, in lieu of the pair of wheels on the bottom of a drag-along.samsonite spinner luggage

This Samsonite LIFT 29" Expandable Spinner Luggage ($198) is typical of many spinners that I observed; the lightweight -- at 10 1/2 pounds -- and very durable bag is fully lined and with the beveled alloy pull handle and integrated top and side carry handles is a snap to move and store in a car trunk or overhead compartment. The four multi-directional caster wheels take the weight of the bag off your hand and arm while you're pulling the luggage on the sidewalk or concourse.

Have there been any problems with the wheels being snapped off on escalators, curbs, etc?
