4 Long, Lean and Cozy Fall Cardigans

Though many parts of the country are still enjoying summer-like conditions, it won't be long before everyone will be reaching for those woolies and stepping into knee-high boots. Before it gets too bone-chilling to even enjoy a trip down to Starbucks for a chai latte, though, there are still a few months where all you'll need is one of these - our favorite long, lean and super cozy cardigans.

Perfect to throw on over jeans or leggings, these sweaters just scream high fashion. We were inspired by an extraordinarily chic Elizabeth and James wrap sweater. Our favorites are just as covetable, though considerably more affordable. Check out this Trouvé Fringe Trim Duster Cardigan ($88), which is downright amazing: casual with a stylish twist!

Color us obsessed with this gorgeous Free People Flower Power Cardigan ($168). Adorned with a dramatic rose print, this is a great option if you're on the shorter side and can't quite pull off those past-knee-length varieties.

Here's a sweater that doubles as a coat on days that require something a bit more substantial. This MICHAEL Michael Kors Long Cardigan ($195) features a faux fur cardigan. That alone makes it worth the price, especially since the collar can be detached for a more practical day look.

It's a brisk fall morning. The sky is still dark, the crickets are chirping and all you want to do is stay in bed for another half hour. Instead?
