Diehard Mac User Reviews Windows 7

by Corey Greenberg

Some full disclosures to set the mood:

1. I'm a very, very happy Mac user. Have been for years.

2. I'm a Mac user because Microsoft Windows XP drove me nuts and I swore I'd never go back to entrusting my entire life to Microsoft even it meant putting Scotch tape around the bridge of my nerdlinger glasses and going Full Linux Jacket (Ubuntu, what is your major malfuntion?!!)

3. Vista sucked so bad on its best and most fully Service Packed day that I've been telling friends and family over the years who've asked me what computer to buy to go Mac and never go back.

4. I'm seriously loving Windows 7.

Mac Laptops

Apple Mac LaptopApple Computers has steadily been increasing its market share over the past few years. Whether its the company's highly interactive retail stores, or the computers growing reputation for ease of use, Apple computers are a lot more popular than they were just a few years ago when only the "artsy" crowd were Apple users.

Mac computers are becoming much more widely used, and the majority of people that take the leap into the "world of Apple" never turn back, myself included. It was only about 4 months ago when I bought my Macbook Pro Laptop, and it was the best decision of my life. Even when there have been times that I needed help it just took a quick trip to my local Apple store and they showed me everything I needed to know, so it has never been easier to make the switch.

Save your computer files & your sanity with a Clickfree backup device

I had the ClickFree 160GB Automatic Backup Device sitting on my desk for over six months before I actually took it out of the package. And I don't know what compelled me to finally open it up - I like to think of it as divine intervention in the form of the electronic gods given what happened next.

I used the device and backed up all of my files (for the first time in months). Just one week later, my laptop crashed. It crashed hard. I lost everything - only I didn't, as I had everything backed up on my ClickFree hard drive.

Linksys -- More than Wireless Routers

Linksys DMC350 Wireless Digital Music CenterLinksys is well known for their reliable and affordable wireless routers (including the very popular WRT54GL wireless-G router, priced at $59.99 & up), but recently Linksys has been pushing into new markets such as media storage hubs, wireless home audio, wireless TV, and even wireless webcams. In this post I'll take a look at Linksys' new product offerings, and how they fit into your home network.

A Lifesaver for Clumsy iPhone/PDAUsers!

I am an extremely clumsy person. I also recently bought an iPhone. Like oil and water, clumsiness and expensive electronics don't go well together, and when you throw exercise equipment into the mix, it can often spell disaster. My first video iPod suffered an early death when it flew off my treadmill right after I decided to take my speed up a notch without securing it first. This devastating (and expensive!) experience made me wary of enjoying my iPhone while working out, until I discovered the OtterBox Defender.

3D Computer Mice -- New tools for 3D art and video games

3d computer mouse SpacePilotThe mouse at every computer desk hasn't changed much since the 1980's. Okay, we have a glowing optical mouse instead of a rolling ball that picks up dirt off your desk, but new innovations in 3D computer mice could revolutionize how 3D artists interact with their software, and how users navigate in 3D games and environments.

Editor's Wishlist: 12 Great Gifts Ideas

For The One Who Just Can't Get Enough Shoes, Gadgets, Accessories and Clothes!

Let the countdown begin ... we have a little over two months left until Christmas! I haven't done any holiday shopping yet. It might have something to do with the fact that it's still a little warm outside (this doesn't help usher in my holiday spirit).

To be honest, I usually wait until the last minute to do my holiday shopping (eventhough every year I vow to get a head start in Sept./Oct.). Once I do start shopping, I tend to spot deals on things that I want to get for myself, especially when it comes to shoes, gadgets/electronics, accessories and clothes.

So before I even hit the malls for Holiday shopping, I compiled a list of the top 12 gifts on my wishlist. I certainly don't need everything on this list but a girl can wish right?! Hopefully, it will help me stay on track when it comes to buying gifts for others.

Kick Carpal Tunnel to the Curb!

There are a few items that I want to nominate for Invention of the Century, and the Imak SmartGlove is at the top of the list in terms of how much I love and depend upon it to ward off carpal tunnel and to keep my writing career afloat. Imak SmartGlove are my secret to twelve-hour stints in front of the computer screen without as much as a swollen wrist, and the product deserves to be lauded for its simplicity and brilliance.
