Baby Chronicles: The baby journal that makes your life easy

As much as I wanted to be the kind of Mom that keeps a neat house, has perfectly groomed children and scrapbooks each moment with the utmost perfection, that's just not me. I made it through about six months of my first son's life in a scrapbook and eventually gave up.

Which is why I was excited to find Baby Chronicles - My Very Own Story, from pre-natal to preschool - the book that would allow me to combine a tiny bit of scrapbooking with the most important part - recording the milestones that were worth recording.

Choosing the right diaper pail

I was seven months pregnant with my first son when I had all his nursery furniture delivered. The two delivery guys were in the soon-to-be nursery moving furniture around when one of the guys stood up and pointed to our brand new diaper pail.

"I never understand why parents use those things - why would you want to save your kid's nasty diaper for days on end? Just take it out to the trash!," he had commented. I remember thinking, "he's right!"

But it's no surprise to hear that he had no children and how it didn't tak me long to learn the convenience of the diaper pail. Because let's face it - as ideal as it may be to take your child's stinky diaper out every time he poops, it's just not practical.

Fisher-Price Happy Days & Happy Nights Diapers Make Us...Happy

They've got their red emblem stamped on toys from one side of the house to the other, so where is Fisher-Price going now?

When MomFinds discovered one of our favorite toy makers in our diaper bags, had their own line of diapers, the new Happy Days & Happy Nights line, we did our own happy dance, then we got down to business.

My favorite stroller after 6 years of strollers

As my youngest son turns 3 next month, I find I'm down to the bare bones of baby and toddler gear in my house. It's with both a smile and a tear that I retire to the basement many baby items like my kids cribs and bouncy seats.

I've been a bit of a stroller nut over the years -- at one time my garage housed over a dozen strollers. As my kids are graduating out of the strollers, I'm now down to three strollers. But my husband recently made a plea - can I please get rid of the rest? My oldest son is almost 6 and it's really a bit strange looking to have him sitting in a stroller these days. (The only reason he still did was our double jogger, which we used over the summer for various long walks - 3 miles plus - when we were at the beach.)

Baby Shower Games

Baby shower games - Pin the Pacifier on the babyBaby showers are a great way to help a new mom collect the things she'll need to get ready for her baby, but they can be incredibly dull for guests who want to support their friend, but didn't show up to hear about stretch marks and breast pumps for three hours. We've all been stuck in that nightmare once or twice, haven't we, ladies? Baby showers may never be the event of the season, but a host can always make it a little more fun for everyone by planning some fun baby shower games.
