My three-year-old son received Dr. Seuss' Super Stretchy ABC game for his birthday from some friends. I was skeptical at first but once we broke the box open, all my doubts were washed away. This is game is great for a night of family fun.

The game is pretty much Twister, with a preschool twist. Hands, feet and an ear need to be placed on a letter of the alphabet in each turn. You collect chips for every correct place you can reach - the person with the most chips has better odds of winning in the end.

So I've been a big fan of the Flip camcorder for awhile. As an on the go Mom, I can appreciate something small and compact. And I'm a harried Mom, so capturing my kids on film doesn't happen too often - but having something like the Flip in my purse definitely increases the chances of my getting those special moments on tape.

A great book gift for kids is a box set of the first four books in the Magic Treehouse series by Mary Pope Osborne. We started these books when my son was four years old. And although he still can't read them himself, they are wonderful stories to read as a family.

The series follows brother and sister team Jack and Annie. In Book One, they discover a Magic Treehouse in the woods near their house. By looking at books inside of the treehouse, they are magically transported to various times of historical interest. Dinosaurs Before Dark is the first book in this series and takes Jack and Annie back to a Prehistoric Era of dinosaurs. In most books, Jack and Annie have a mission they must complete in their foreign land before returning home.
