Weber Q 100 Gas Grill - 386002
- By wyld 08/29/2008
- Pros:
well built, portable, easy to use, big enough for one person or a small group - Cons:
propane tank needed not standard, will be tempted to buy extra accessories -
Summary:
This was my first propane grill purchase and I would have to say that I'm incredibly happy with my purchase. It saves me so much prep time over my old charcoal grill and I don't feel guilty firing it up just for one person's meal. I was able to get the grill at about $100 and I think it was well worth the money. The grill is very well built and easy to assemble. It can easily cook enough food for a small amount of guests at a time (3 or 4).The only issues I had with the Q 100 is initially finding the right propane tank. I was able to locate one in the hand torch section of my local Lowes. It lasted about 5 or 6 outings before I had to replace it. Eventually I want to buy the hose adapter to use with a larger propane tank.I'd definitely recommend this grill if you are a small time or new bbq-er. There are also higher models to consider if you want something larger or more extras.

- Pros:
Portability, temperature distribution - Cons:
accessories are expensive -
Summary:
I've just had this grill for a little while, but so far it's great. I needed a new propane grill, but I wanted one that I could pack up and take along for tailgating, etc. It's extremely portable and heats up very fast. It has a large grilling area 189 square inches if I remember correctly. I recommend getting the hose adapter so you can use a large propane tank. Also useful is the cart, which folds down and is portable. Overall I'm very satisfied with the grill, and I am looking forward to taking it out sometime. My only complaint is that the accessories are a bit overpriced in my opinion.

- Pros:
Absolutely excellent Weber quality, made in the USA. Quick preheat, even heat distribution, high quality parts and an excellent company standing behind this quality product. - Cons:
None, only that I hadn't bought one earlier. -
Summary:
This grill is perfect for patios, beaches, camping, etc. I just replaced a full sized Char-Broil with this Q 100 and will never again buy anything but a Weber. The quality of the Weber puts it in a class by itself. Assembly took less than 5 mins vs over an hour for the Char-Broil. Preheat also just 5 mins and the cooking surface is incredible. First push of the Weber's ignition button and it started right up vs 15 button clicks on the Char-Broil and I was still without flame, having to resort to matches. Plenty of cooking surface for 2-4 people. Excellent heat distribution, designed to reduce flare-ups, along with the incredible heat this produces for such a small amount of propane used, makes this a grill I plan to keep for many, many years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
