    APC Back-UPS CS 350

    Connect to 110 VAC. Plug in Mac. Connect UPS and Mac with included USB cable. Turn on the Mac and OS X finds and identifies the UPS. The shutdown preferences can be found in "System Preferences" or by clicking on the icon, a rectangle with a lightning bolt inside, in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Select the shutdown parameters and you're done. Battery charge as a percentage shows next to the icon. Remaining runtime shows next to the icon when power fails.
