Pros:
Warm start is fast, cold start is fairly fast. Accuracy is good for street driving. Small size, great battery. Great portability. Seees satellites well.
Cons:
Read the forums on this piece of doo-doo. The guys who make it in Taiwan will point to everything but the unit. The GPS can decide to die after a while. (continued in comment)
Summary:
This product worked great until it randomly quit. I connnect it via bluetooth to my laptop and Axim x50v handheld running Windows Mobile 5, so two different hardware devices. I use iGuidance, ESRI ArcPad, ESRI ArcInfo, plus the manufacturer's GPSInfo utility. I have re-paired the bluetooth connection for both laptop and handheld PC. They see and recognize the device. I have removed the battery from the BT-338 for over 12 hours, since that's what the manufacturer recommends to "reset the ROM." Nothing sees the GPS anymore. The GPS side of this thing has gone out to lunch, not the bluetooth. You can't blame anything else since I'm using so much hardware and software to test it. Google some of the forums and read the frustration as people work through their solutions with and without customer support. I would not recommend this to anyone!
