- The DCS-G900 Securicam 802.11G Wireless Internet Camera from D-Link is a full-featured surveillance camera which connects using 802.11g to your existing wireless network. The DCS-G900 features a high quality glass lens and a CMOS sensor to capture high-quality MJPEG video. Controlling your camera is made simple using the included IP View Lite SE Software. The IP View Lite SE manages up to four DCS-900 series or DCS-950 series cameras simultaneously. Using IP View Lite SE, you can set your camera to record whenever it detects motion, on a set schedule, or to record manually. Alternatively, you ...can view a live feed and take snapshots with any ActiveX or Java-enabled web browser, making it ideal for capturing a moment no matter where you are. Web-based camera access works with both PC and Mac. By signing up with one of the Dynamic DNS services, you can assign an easy-to-remember web address to the camera and remotely access your camera without having to remember the IP address, even if your Internet Service Provider changes it. The DCS-G900 adheres to the Universal Plug & Play (UPnP) specification, which allows computers running Windows XP to recognize the DCS-G900 and automatically add it to the network. The DCS-G900 can be accessed and viewed from 'My Network Places' as a device on the network.

Pros:
Simple setup, good image quality, IPViewLite can be used portably on a USB drive, works as described.Cons:
Low light performance is very weak. My 1 wish for this camera is that there is a way to save to the web somehow. Saves to HD, which is fine, unless your PC is stolen!Summary:
I'm very much liking the camera. I feel a little better about leaving my house alone. I can use IPViewLite portably off my USB drive while at work to monitor the camera. Camera saves to a hard drive, I'm still trying to figure out a way to save to the net somewhere in case your PC is stolen, so you'll still have some evidence!Camera works well, doesn't bog down my network, and provides simple security I can view from any net connection. Price was very good and am quite satisfied.I would recommend this camera for anyone who's needs are similar to mine.

Pros:
Easy to configure. Works right out of the box.Cons:
If you reset your admin password you have to reset the camera and completly reconfigure it.Summary:
The Lux level listed is wrong. I think it is 2.5 lux like its wired cousin. You have to have good lighting to get a decent picture.

Pros:
Network, small size, good rangeCons:
avg picture, not good in low-lightSummary:
This is a nice internet webcam with good wireless-speed (G) and range. setup wasnt too difficult (manual wasnt good though) and it quickly connected to the router. picture quality is good enough during daylight hours. does the job as a security camera with 24x7 recording to a hard drive.

Pros:
Inexpensive, nice feature set.Cons:
Poor set-up directions, performs poorly in low light.Summary:
I spent three days trying to configure this camera. I simply could not "see" the camera from outside my home network. D-Link telephone technical support was of no use. They actually hung up on me twice, when they were unable to resolve the problem. A post to a bulletin board finally yielded a solution: The DEFAULT GATEWAY setting in the camera set up had to match my router's IP address: 192.168.1.1 Once set-up, the unit worked pretty much as advertised. But in 640x480 resolution, I'm only getting about 1 frame/second when accessing the camera remotely over high-speed connections. Also, the camera does poorly in low light settings -- noise level/video grain is very high.
