About a year and a half ago I purchased a Hoover Floormate, model H3000. I absolutly loved it, for the 6 months that it worked. Unfortunatly, the cleaner sprayer stopped working. On the that model, you could control whether the brushes were on or off. It would be nice if you could also turn the suction on or off so you could scrub the really bad spots without sucking up the cleaner. But if you turn the Floormate to the Dry setting and turn the brushes on, you can scrub without sucking up the cleaner quite as fast. However, on this model, you cannot control the brushes. On the dry setting, the brushes don't spin. On the wet setting, the brushes are on. The pluses to this model are the way it looks (much better than the other model) and this one is easier to manuveur.

This wet/dry vacuum works perfectly except the seal on the solution tank made the cap loose to the point of leakage...When trying to check to see if Hoover would carry parts for this unit H2850 powerbrush 300... Hoover could not recognize it...it could not be found on their web site...this does bother me...price was great, but even the higher end models break down needing parts...might as well buy cheap and then chuck it ...just used this for the first time...don't know how long it will last... I will return it for a replacement and hope it will seal correctly
