  • Pros:
    Fun
  • Cons:
    Limite by cord lenght
  • Summary:
This is a great toy for getting the kids interested in Science or just to understand there is a whole world they can't see. I wished it came with the stand and a speciment platform so you don't have to keep holding on to it. Since it needs to be connected to a TV's input connectors, you will be lmited by how far you can move the camera towards the subject of interest. Kids love it and adults too.

  • Pros:
keeps their attention longerbetter than other scientific toys
  • Cons:
should have a focus adjustment like on microscopes or binoculars
  • Summary:
My kids get bored easily with the educational toys that we got from national geographic. So we got this and they love it. They still play with the eyeclops and not the other ones. You have to play around but after a while, things only come in focus at a certain distance. Not too hard when you get the hang of it.

  • Pros:
200x magnification generates crystal clear image on TV screen when in proper focus
  • Cons:
Proper focusing requires lens chassis to be flush against object being magnified.
  • Summary:
My 10-year old daughter loves this product. She is at the age when natural science is being taught in middle school, so it's not just a toy, it really is an educational device. And since the video output can be hooked up to a TV monitor, it could also be connected to a computer video card, which would then allow a video capture of what the EyeClops is seeing. Science Fair, here we come! I think my kid got the biggest kick out of seeing what the pores on my face look like. It was kind of disgusting, actually. But the contagious giddiness that resulted made it all worthwhile.

  • Pros:
This product provides magnification fun for our 5 and 6 year old grandsons. It is great that they can view the magnification on the TV set. They played with it enthusiastically.
  • Cons:
Requires 5, AA batteries. An AC connection option would be nice. The children have difficulty focusing on the magnified items and using the attachments.
  • Summary:
The attachments were of the same color as the packaging. It was rather difficult to determine what to keep and what to throw away. I do believe my grandsons will enjoy and use the Eyeclops. Overall it is a good product and certainly educational. It will be more fun once it is warmer out and we can gather bugs and other outside material to magnify. Perhaps they will be able to use the product more successfully when they are a little older.

  • Pros:
magnification levels, novelty and popularity with my son and his friends
  • Cons:
    hard to use magnifier
  • Summary:
Although this is touted as being able to magnify objects on your tv screen it is a bit hard to focus the magnifier. You have to get it "just right" so it will magnify what you want it to, whether it is a coin, hair, or any small object you want to enlarge.Once you figure it out it is neat and keeps the kids entertained. You must be careful not to scratch the lens as that will cause the objects to be scratchy when you magnify them.It is easy to set up and get going. It was a bit expensive, but the uniqueness of it makes the pricetag a bit easier to swallow.
