  • Pros:
    Can be used for both grilling and smoking. As it is ceramic, does not dry out food. Once the tempature is stabilized, you can trust that it will stay within a few degrees for hours.
  • Cons:
    Even though the outside does not get hot, you do have to be careful when opening the lid when searing steaks as you will get a gust of fire if you do not open the top slowly.
  • Summary:
    I have my Egg for over 6 years and will never go back to any other. It is great for searing steaks and equally great at smoking a turkey. If you are an avid outdoor cooker, this is best.
