Pros:
Versatile and quiet.
Cons:
Does not use enough water to fully clean clothes even at high efficiency.
Summary:
LG does not stand behind this machine. Neither does Best buy. We bought the 5 year warranty when we bought it. It will not clean clothes like after a work out. The system provides a 'guess' of the least amount of water to get the clothes clean. However, 2 pounds of towels wieghs just as much as 2 pounds of underwear. However, the tomels will hold more water. Consequently, the towels are not cleaned like the the underwear. LG recognized this by adding a water plus optio to this model. They refused to deal with customers who have the models before the water plus option was added. Make sure you get one with water plus. The only fix I have found is to add extra water (LG says 3 gallons) through the detergent bin while the washer is cycling. This is that same result as the water plus option on the later models. LS does not stand behind their product as they refuse to help. What am I to do when my clothes do not come out clean?

Pros:
strong machine, adjustable wash cycles to fit many needs
Cons:
length of time to complete cycle (avg around 50+ minutes per load)
Summary:
Clothes are thoroughly cleaned in this machine. I appreciate the variable settings and the beeper that alerts me when a load is done and ready for the dryer. This is our first front-load washing machine and we love it so far!
