Excellent

Pros: Ease of use. It truly is ready to go right out of the box. (It took me much longer to learn to use my cell phone.) Menu navigation, the touch screen and the step by step directions are all excellent.

Cons: The need to purchase an AC adaptor for charging SEPARATELY (the garmin comes with a car charger only). Satellite location time after powering it on can take up to a few minutes.

Summary: I've had my Garmin Nuvi 200W for three months now, and I have yet to experience all of its amazing features. Once powered ON by sliding a bar at the top left of the device, the Garmin's brightly lit (and stylish) touch screen asks you, 'Where to?'. With just a tap of the finger, you'll access a menu through which you can type in a specific address or search through saved 'favorite' locations. If you're not quite sure where you're headed, you may choose to scroll through 'points of interest' which include nearby restaurants, gas and service stations, merchants, hotels, banks/atm's, hospitals, etc... Upon selecting your destination, you may choose to hear your turn-by-turn directions while viewing a map of the area with a great zoom in/zoom out feature --- or a written listing of the directions, step by step. (I absolutely love the spoken turn by turn directions. They are like magic!) A separate 'tools' menu features unit and currency converters, a photo viewer, a calculator, and a world clock. My Garmin Nuvi 200W came to me as the perfect surprise holiday gift. I never thought about purchasing one, but now that I have it, I can't imagine driving from point A to point B without it.

Very Good

Pros: not bulky - thin and sleak version. wide screen. easy to read. easy to get started

Cons: it does take 10 seconds to acquire a signal. i wish it announced the street.

Summary: The Nuvi is sleak and thin unlike its bulky brother the TomTom ONE 3rd edition. The screen is easy to read and the graphics are fine. I like how you can choose your vehicle icon you see on the screen. The only downside is the street names are not read aloud. For another 50-75 bucks you can get that luxury OR you can leave some fun left in traveling. Further insights are in this review - Stop Shopping - Garmin Nuvi v. Very Good

Pros: Very easy to use. Impressed with directions. Screen is amazing!

Cons: Accuracy of some points.

Summary: This is the first GPS that I have ever owned and I am proud of my purchase. I got the Nuvi mainly to help me on trips so I don't always have to look up directions and don't feel lost when I get wherever I'm going. The Nuvi is very easy to use with just a few clicks you can figure out what you're doing and use the Nuvi effeciently. I like how you can click the unit off while you're out of the vehicle eating to stopping at gas stations and then turn it back on and it still has your current directions up. It doesn't have a whole lot of fancy options, but it does have a few and for me it had the necessary ones. It helped me find some restaurants that were well off the interstate on my trip that did make the trip more enjoyable and allowed us to eat somewhere besides McDonalds. Some of the addresses were off by about 100-150 ft. which was frustrating sometimes, but I could always find what I was looking for just by looking around. I don't know if there is a fix to this or not, but I don't believe there is at this time. Also, the first 50 miles of my trip involved traveling on a highway that was built 4 years ago that I know well, but the Nuvi didn't have this highway with the latest maps I could download and so kept telling me to turn down backroads because it thought I was lost or offroad. I would still recommend this unit though because the faults I have listed I believe are a problem with all GPS units and this unit was very easy to use, easy to read, and very sleek and clean. The widescreen is nice and the mount works great! I like being able to take it out and carry it with me also. The battery lasts a long time! I would recommend this unit to someone needing a GPS to use on trips every now and then and doesn't want to spend $500-600 on a unit with a bunch of fancy options that most would never use anyways.

Very Good

Pros: Quick and clear

Cons: Not found a weekness yet

Summary: Not sure why some here say the 200W is slow I found that if I miss an exit it takes about 2 seconds on mine to recalculate the satellite link up seems quick may be I just lucked out on a good unit. The menu is crisp and has all the features you could need.

Excellent

Pros: Excellent and friendly interface, touch panel, nice wide display, accurate maps, can display coordinates.

Cons: No support for ZIP codes input, weak detour function, and satellite reception(Compared with typical Sirf III chipset devices.

Summary: In comparison with other competitor?s same price arrange models, 200W has good cost and performance value.Unfortunately, the weak feature is same as former model of nivi200. The satellite reception is weak. You have to wait for 7~8mins for first location and this model still can not recognize ZIP codes input.
