Pros:
Low price, low maintenance cost, clear and crisp quality, quick warmupCons:
A little heavierSummary:
This Canon copier, like other Canon products, is always the one you can depend upon. It is affordable while still outputs professional-like printout. We have a home office and now we have printed several thousand sheets and changed toners. This device is a little heavier, but for us, we almost don't carry it around so we really don't care. If you are seeking a dependable and quality-oriented personal copier, you will never be disappointed if you go for the PC 170

Pros:
Fast copying and low costCons:
No stand-alone scanningSummary:
I bought this copier since it is cheaper than the others and the replacement toner is also cheaper. It does copying work well. The size is big and occupied half od my desk. The major complaint is that it does not support scanning from computer. So you can not use it as a normal scanner.

Cheap, fast and easy usingCons:
Heavy, big size, no scanningSummary:
This is a low cost copier, good for personal use. It generates copies fast. The toner is cheap. However, the size is large and very heavy. So plan well in advance where to put it. Oveall, it is still a good personal copier for light use.

Pros:
Instant warm up and fast printingCons:
Heavy and occupies some spaceSummary:
This is the cheapest personal copier in the market. I chose this one instead of an all-in-one model because I already have a printer and a scanner, and I do not need the fax feature. It does not have any extra functions and can only do single-sided copying (double-sided if perform manually). The printing speed is fast, no warm-up waiting time. It does need some space when doing the printing, but it can be folded and stored away (but it is a bit heavy).

PC 170 Personal Copier is small and inexpensive. Form feed would be nice, but it's quick compared to the all in one'sB & W but toners are cheap versus color

Pros:
Virtually instant-onCons:
Needs a lot of room horizontallySummary:
This is a copier where the paper feeds from one side to the other, so it takes up a lot of room -- you can fold the paper feeder/tray up, but then you'd need to make room when you want to use it. I have to clear out the entire top of a two-shelf bookshelf so it can fit, so do keep that in mind. I do love how quickly I can make a copy with this one, though (current one needs MUCH more time to warm up before I can use it)Two personal copiers ago, I had a canon, but it's replacement toner was not cost effective at the time. I did milk that starter cartridge for a lot, so I expect the same quality with this one.

Pros:
Great price, starts up quickly, quietCons:
Copies slow, can not identify red letters and red imagesSummary:
It works great and makes very clean looking black and white copies. But print is a little light unless you change the setting to be "darker" all the time. But it can not identify red letters and red images. I tried to copy some documents with red seals, but the print came out with white blank on the location of the seals. It starts up within seconds and shuts down automatically. You will feel there is no warm up time so you can just turn it on and start copying. But it copies slow and does not feed multiple documents. And there is no multiple-original feed, no shrink/enlarge options. But anyway it definitely is a great product for family use, especially on its price.

Pros:
No warm-up time. Convenient.Cons:
Costly toner replacement.Summary:
Great copier. Definitely made for home uses. There is no warm up time so you can just turn it on and start copying. Easy to use. The starter cartridge should yield a decent amount of copies before need a replacement. Replacement cartridges would be the E20 which can be purchased for about $40-50.
